Great 007 movie one of the best next to the next Movie Soectre.

Gary Perry

easily! not the best theme tune though

It has been MANY years since I watched the original Bond movies (pre-DC) but I believe in most of them the Bond girl usually dies or at least a love interest dies if not the Bond Girl herself.

Guiuliano

By very far the best of his 5 movies, and my favorite of ALL Bond movies... and Skyfall song... damn

Matty B.

Daniel Craig's age in his 5 Bond movies: 2006 - Casino Royale - 38 years old 2008 - Quantum of Solace - 40 years old 2012 - Skyfall - 44 years old 2015 - Spectre - 47 years old 2021 - No Time to Die - 53 years old Pierce Brosnan's age in his 4 Bond movies: 1995 - Golden Eye - 42 years old 1997 - Tomorrow Never Dies - 44 years old 1999 - The World is Not Enough - 46 years old 2002 - Die Another Day - 49 years old Pierce was older than Daniel in each of his 4 movies, so i don't think Daniel should be considered old. But maybe Daniel's Bond was just older in the movies, than Pierce's Bond was?

In answer to Nikki's Q about the great car at the beginning - if you haven't googled it already - it was a Landrover Defender (always wanted one 😊)

One of my favorites, love the whole theme of getting the old school tricks out, to fight of the tech-savvy villain. Yet the villain is also a great mirror of how an agent could fall when the trust is broken. Also great theme song, wonderful visuals and some ballin stunts. Chat was correct there, the end is a loop back to the old setup of 007, Moneypenny as secretary and the man M. Would call it a step back through, just a really cool homage. And yes, most Bond Girls die, or have to leave for witness protection, only a few are saved. Next movie has not the greatest rep, but I like the homages there, as well as the Bond girl.

Oh man this brought back memories. My friend's dad was salty my friend and his mom weren't in town to see it so he just showed up to our house and asked if I wanted to go. Got the biggest bucket of popcorn and snacks. Awesome movie.

What actor do you guys think could fill Craig's shoes? I think Idris Elba or Charlie Hunnam could do well.

Marcus McGill

No, I think Craig's Bond was younger. M plucked him straight out of the military early in his service I think whereas all the other Bonds already had the "Commander" rank within the British Navy. They never mention his service in Craig's films, but he had no kills in the 00 / MI6 service at the beginning of Casino Royale. And we saw the fight for his first kill and he and the one guy mentioned how the second kill would be much easier emotionally and mentally just before Bond shot him in the head.

Marcus McGill

The actor that Bond chased and fought in the beginning as well as in that skyscraper glass building is Swedish actor, Ola Rapace. He was the ex-husband of the original "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" / "Millennium Trilogy" actress, Noomi Rapace.

Marcus McGill

Love me some Naomie Harris (Eve Moneypenny). Been a fan of hers since I first saw her in "28 Days Later" with Peaky Blinders star, Cillian Murphy (Thomas Shelby). Also, loved her in the two Pirates of the Caribbean films she was in as Tia Dalma.

Marcus McGill

I genuinely teared up when M died in Bond's arms. Judi Dench has been my favorite M in all of the Bond films from Connery to Craig. Being that they brought her back from the Brosnan's run of films was pure brilliance.

Marcus McGill

The producer Barbara Broccoli personally wants Elba. They've both said how she's been courting him about it through emails she sends to him, but he's been passing on it. I feel Tom Hardy or Henry Cavill would crush it. Cavill actually auditioned for Casino Royale. They loved him, but felt he was too young for the role back then in 2004/2005, so the role went to Craig.

Marcus McGill

If Ian Fleming was alive, I think he'd definitely would have said Craig was his favorite Bond. Craig is the closest to how Fleming wrote him in the novels.

Marcus McGill

To answer Nikki's question about how Bond got on the boat, Severine told him what boat and slip if he survived her bodyguards at the casino. Plus Silva used her to draw him in.

Marcus McGill

Fun Fact: The producers considered approaching Sean Connery to play Kincade, but ultimately decided not to due to the impact he would've had on the film.

Marcus McGill

I used to idolize the Bond films and novels growing up. The 1965 Aston Martin DB5 is my all-time favorite car next to Blade's 1968 Dodge Charger, Xander Cage's 1967 Pontiac GTO in the xXx films, and Alonzo's modified 1979 Chevy Monte Carlo in Training Day.

Marcus McGill

@NikkiandSteven I'm glad Steven mentioned that Quantum of Solace suffered due to being rushed to beat the writer's strike back then. A lot of folks don't realize that. It also suffered due to not having the rights to use a certain character and organization that is so important to the Bond franchise back then.

Marcus McGill

@NikkiandSteven The Aston Martin DB5 was first shown in "Goldfinger" (1964). And the death of the agent in Quantum of Solace where she was covered in oil in Bond's bed was an Easter egg to that film where a woman that Bond slept with was lying in his bed in the same position, but covered in gold.
