I was worried about Nikki in this episode but she handled it much better than I thought. Kudos. 👍👍😁 When Sae-Byeok lets on that she doesn't know what mojito is, Ji-Yeong makes a reference to a movie starring Lee Byung-hun (he has starred in Gl Joe films with Dwayne Johnson). It is a real Korean movie called Inside Men. In the movie Byung-hun's character says, "Let's have a drink of Maldives at mojito." Ji-Yeong is quoting this line from the movie. In the movie the line was actually supposed to be "Let's have a drink of mojito in Maldives" but Byung-hun decided "a drink of Maldives at mojito" sounded better.

I watched a video that talks about things that are lost in the translation from Korean to English. One thing I found out is that when Ali was calling out to Sang-Woo at the end, if you listen with the Korean audio he's not just calling 'Sang-Woo'. I can't remember the term he was calling out, but it basically was what you would call someone who is like a big brother to you. Makes it so much more heartbreaking for me. He was calling out to his big brother :(

The term is "hyung". In Episode 5, when Ali and Sang-woo were keeping watch during the night, Sang-woo tells Ali to stop calling him "Sir" and asks him to call him by his name. But Ali chooses to call him "Hyung" (the subtitles made it appear as if Ali agreed to call him "Sang-woo"). I have been told by my Korean friends that "Hyung" means "older brother" and is used by men to address other, older men whom they respect. Another word for "older brother" is "oppa" ... Women use the word "oppa" to address older men. Mi-nyeo often calls other men (Deok-su, Gi-hun, Sang-woo) "oppa" since she is obsessed with appearing younger. She didn't call Deok-su "babe" ... she called him "oppa".

Both of you, especially Steve, so happy when Gihun picked older guy. Then, your faces when you realized what that meant.
