I love how each of the individual conflicts from last episode got separately resolved. Lorelei and Dean came to an understanding. Rory and Lorelei finally settled their argument for real. And even Emily and Lorelei put their conflict aside for the moment to be reasonably friendly to each other. And Emily insisting that she “go first” is so perfectly Emily. She’s expressing her love, but through a kind of command. When this show is at its best, it’s one of the best shows ever.
