Vaughn went antiquing for Sydney! I listen to an Alias podcast hosted by two men, and they’re very entertaining, but they went off on Vaughn’s gift, saying if they ever gave a photo frame to a girl, she would dump them immediately. Wut. Maybe Vaughn doesn’t know that Sydney only has a few random photos of her mother, but he didn’t just go to Target—he went to an antique store. I think it was very sweet. Plus, it made Will jealous. Francie’s snark about Jenny being a cheerleader is a reference to Sarah Shahi being a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. Speaking of Will, David McNeil is played by Ken Olin, producer director of many Alias episodes (also directed some Felicity). Sloane’s story about betrayal was both weird and ominous. On the plus side, Sloane’s costuming is amazing. Bespoke, European high buttoned suits with fancy shirts and fat, double Windsor knot ties. It’s a big contrast to the cheap beige suits that the CIA agents wear.

Marshall is such a cinnamon roll, and I keep forgetting to drop the fun fact that Kevin Weisman played Glory's main minion, Dreg, in Buffy. When I rewatch that season, I can't help but see Marshall channeling his eager-to-please social awkwardness in to his extreme groveling as Dreg.
