The wolf girl is watching you __________? (Patreon)
Content
Whenever I begin working on a custom character, I always ask the patron if they have some references in order for me to better visualize their idea. While written descriptions are fine, it is very common for 2 different people to sometimes interpret them completely differently, so having something visual represent the original idea helps to align my interpretation with the patron's.
In this case, the reference is the character seen in the mini comic above (credit goes to the original artist, Rayen).
The wolf girl concept was the winner of poll #6 with the following description: "Girl beastkin will stalk Maya and disguise herself into scenario objects like chests all the while she waits for the perfect opportunity to pounce on Maya. If Maya is careless when approaching, the wolf girl will pull her inside the container while licking Maya's butt. Once inside, Maya will be savored and swallowed whole into the wolf girl's belly, who will then come out of the chest with a bulging tummy."
Mechanically, there are going to be new special chests spread around stages. Normally these chests will contain useful items like potions and weapons, but sometimes it will be a mimic chest and hiding inside is none other than the wolf girl, who will be more than happy to swallow Maya whole.
And since we're on the topic of the custom characters, let's check the current waiting list and the order of creation:
- Wolf Girl (winner of poll #6)
- Arachne (winner of poll #7)
- Minotaur Boss (tied winner of poll #1)
- Lamia (winner of poll #8)
I'm halfway done with the wolf girl and once I release her version, I'll work on the Arachne and also part 2 of the city stage. After that I'll work on the gnolls and their combo scene, as well as making the boss arena and minotaur boss. Then I'll proceed to the next stage (cave themed) and also create the Lamia.
Damn, writting it down like that there seems to be a good amount of work lying ahead, like some 100+ frames of animation alone... but hey, let's keep pushing on ever forward!
