— Raditz (Three Months Later) —

He patted the spot on his stomach through his shirt and apron where the burn had been. It had left a scar but had healed up quite well.

He had spent the entire time in the same desert, working in the bar he had encountered.

All for one reason.

“That’s not how you do it, silly.” Launch giggled, “You’ve been with us for a while now; I thought you’d know how to wash dishes by now.”

“I’m not one for…this kind of work,” Raditz said slowly.

“That’s always your excuse!” She slapped his shoulder softly. “If you want, I can take over.”

“I’ll finish them.” He shook his head.

“Alright, then I’ll leave you to it. Let me know if you need-”

Raditz grabbed her arm softly and pulled her into him; as she looked up at him with blushing red cheeks, he took her lips and began exploring her mouth with his tongue. She didn’t stop him. Instead, she wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned into the kiss.

After half a minute, Raditz pulled back and gave her a grin, which only made her blush even redder.

“We’re not supposed to do this while working.” Launch chastised him, and he could only chuckle in response.

“We both know the old drunk wouldn’t care.”

“...” She couldn’t muster up an argument as he pulled her back into another deep kiss.

This had been his life.

Since he had first laid eyes on Launch, he knew that he was interested in her, and as he learned more about her, he had to admit she was more than a worthy mate.

Both sides of her.

“What do you say we get off of work early?” Raditz offered, kissing her neck. She mustered up a little fight, but they both knew she didn’t actually want to escape his grasp.

“Uncle definitely wouldn’t be okay with that?”

“Well…fuck 'em.” Raditz grinned, picking her up, and upon seeing she wasn’t putting up any fight, he brought her out of the back door and over toward the small settlement of houses they had come to call home.

Raditz wasted no time in entering their house and making his way over to their bedroom. He laid her down gently and began getting to work, removing her clothes.

He knew that Prince Vegeta was coming sooner or later and that he would likely be punished for killing Kakarot. The least he could do was lessen the burden by presenting another Saiyan to Vegeta in Kakarot’s stead.

Yes… this was entirely to satisfy Prince Vegeta and earn his forgiveness… no other reason.

— Vegeta (Ten Months Later) —

“Prince Vegeta!”

I opened my eyes with a frown. I looked down at the little purple alien who was bowing below me.

“What do you want, Rasin?”

“We have arrived on Earth.”

My eyes widened minutely, and I stood up from my seat.

“Finally.” I began my walk over to the exit, and upon entering the hallway, I let out a sigh.

“Are you ready to see Raditz, Vegeta,” Nappa asked with child-like excitement.

“Yes, Nappa.”

“Do you think he’s dead, Vegeta?”

“I hope not, Nappa.”

“He’s probably dead, Vegeta.”

“I wouldn’t be surprised.”

I walked past the gathered team and opened the door to the ship, inhaling the fresh air as my eyes quickly scanned my surroundings.

So this was Earth in the Dragon Ball Multiverse.

It was…not much different from how I remembered it, at least from what I saw, but I knew better. Humans didn’t merely dominate this Earth, but other species as well. All the intelligent creatures of Earth fell under the umbrella of ‘Earthling’ instead of ‘Human.’

I floated out of the ship and began sensing for Raditz Ki. I found it pretty quick, which deepened my frown. He was alive…while not bad, it wasn’t quite good news.

I sensed several gathered power levels quite far from Raditz, with one a bit higher than the others.

So they were waiting for us, and more than that, they were trying to drag us toward them by showing us decent power levels while not outright showing their full power.

Smart.

“We’re going, Nappa, Turles; both of you are with me.”

“Of course, Vegeta!” Nappa grinned.

“As you wish, Prince Vegeta.” I nodded and turned to my team.

“Amond, you’re in charge,” I ordered the tall orange guy with brown hair. He and the rest of the team bowed, and we took off in the direction of the high power levels.

I had considered using Instant Transmission to get to them faster, but we were likely deemed as threats after whatever fuck up Raditz ended up causing, so I didn’t want to scare them into doing some dumb shit like attacking us.

The flight wasn’t very long at our power, and we reached their location within a couple of minutes.

As we floated down, I examined the gathered people with a look of indifference.

Tien, Chiaotzu, Yamcha, Krillin, Gohan, Piccolo-

And Kakarot.

“Vegeta, look at the little one!”

I let out a sigh and looked at Chiaotzu. “Yes, it’s a small fellow. What about it?”

“It’s like a cute Saibaman, Vegeta! Can I catch it, Vegeta?!”

“You’re the Saibaman taming expert, Nappa, although if the others have already tamed it, you'll have to ask.”

“Aw, Vegeta…”

We touched down tens of meters away from them, close enough to speak to one another but far enough to see if someone was attacking.

“So…You’re the Saiyans,” Piccolo said, throwing off his turban and cape.

“No.”

“Nappa, don’t be rude.” I shook my head. “Yes, we are ‘The Saiyans.’ I am Vegeta IV, Prince of the Saiyan race.” I focused my gaze on the full-blooded Saiyan in front of me. “And you…are Kakarot.”

“I know nothing of that name. My name is Goku.” Kakarot frowned.

I leveled a glare at him. “You disrespect not only your parents, who gave you that name, but the entire Saiyan race!”

Kakarot paused at that, his face shifting into thought for a moment before his features steeled.

“I have no memories of my parents or the Saiyan race. I am Son Goku, a Saiyan raised on Earth by my Grandfather, Son Gohan, and I will defend it with my life!” He announced before dropping into a stance. The other fighters mimicked his actions, dropping into stances of their own.

I waved my hands in front of me and frowned. “We have no intention of fighting you, Kakarot.” I looked at the rest of them and outstretched my arms. “Nor do we plan on fighting any of you. What I wish to know, above all else, is what happened when Raditz came to this planet.”

Everyone stared at me dumbfounded for a few moments before Krillin spoke up.

“That’s all you want?”

“I never said that.” I shook my head. “We all have no intention of fighting, but there is plenty I want from this planet. That being said, I wish to handle everything peacefully if we can help it, and for a start, I want to know the story of Raditz’s arrival.”

They all stayed quiet, exchanging confused looks before Kakarot stepped forward and spoke.

“He kidnapped my son, and we ended up fighting.”

SMACK

I facepalmed hard, so hard that the sound reverberated through the wasteland.

“I gave that idiot simple orders, and he has to go and overcomplicate things.” I said under my breath.

“You mean to say he went against orders?” Piccolo asked. Ah right, he has really good hearing.

“Once again, that’s not what I said.” I shook my head. “I admit, I gave him orders to bring Kakarot back to us, by any means necessary.” I didn’t miss the way Kakarot’s eyes narrowed at me, which brought a smile to my face. “But, I told the dumb ass to try and handle things peacefully.”

“That doesn’t make things any better.” Tien scoffed.

“And I never claimed to be a paragon of good.” I chuckled. “Though had he listened and tried to talk you into it, I promise Kakarot would have come of his own free will.”

“And why is that?” Kakarot asked, as his posture relaxed considerably.

“You’re gonna have to wait for the answer. I can sense the idiot on his way now.”

The group all got on alert and began trying to feel for his energy, but they couldn’t sense it.

Of course, they couldn’t. He was still hiding his power level. The only reason why I could sense it is because I had experience trying to find his ass when he fell unconscious on missions. Plus, our time spent on Planet Yardrat has honed my sensory abilities beyond most, if not all, others in the Universe, barring the Yardrats, Kai’s and Whis. I could sense the fucker across a planet five times the Earth’s size while he’s knocked out if I really pushed myself.

Within less than a minute, Raditz landed between the two groups. My eyes widened in surprise.

Hanging off of his side was a woman with long, curly blue hair and blue eyes, but that wasn’t what caught me off guard. Even so, it was very surprising to see Launch in his arms.

No, the black-haired baby wrapped in a pink blanket held in Launch’s arms is what caught me off guard.
