While holding this magic trident, you have resistance to cold damage. This weapon deals an extra 3d4 cold damage to any target hit by it, and if you take any fire damage while the weapon is on your person, that damage is reduced by 3d4; the number of dice you roll for these effects is reduced by 1 each time you reduce fire damage in this way. This property of the trident returns to normal 1 hour after the last time you take fire damage. In addition, if you're in extreme cold, the d4s become d6s.
