"Ugh..." I'm waking up feeling surprisingly chilly, and yet at the same time I feel hot? It's a sensation that is both pleasant and unpleasant. Not something easy to describe for sure...

And then everything comes back to me. The war that was supposedly canceled, the apocalypse, Altera's summoning, the mysterious ring, Bigtera, BB throwing the gauntlet... And of course, the disappearance of my parents.

As soon as I open my eyes, I'm greeted by red ones. "You are finally awake, Master." It's Altera who slept besides me. It seems she went asleep while staring at me, and woke up staring at me. That feels a bit too much to be honest.

That said, I know now why I'm feeling that discomfort. The chill is probably coming from Altera's ice walls which surround the house, they probably caused the temperature to drop, and the heat comes from the fact that Altera's body is so close to mine.

A blush immediately appears on my face. "H-hey, good to see you again Smalltera..." It really took the end of the world for Hideaki Emiya to sleep with a girl, and he didn't even bang her, but hey, at least Altera is far more beautiful than any other woman I know.

It's almost unfair in a way, to know that if I do manage to find a way to end the world, or better yet, fix it, I will never find someone more beautiful than this. And man... I'm so glad I have the self control to not go around saying stuff like this around anymore.

That's right, I'm free to think about Altera's toned stomach, or her small breasts, or her long legs, or her big ass... It's safe to fill my head with those images without blurting out something extremely embarrassing.

Altera glares at me. "Do not refer to me as Smalltera." And so I receive an instant confirmation that everything that happened with Bigtera was not a dream, which means... Just what exactly happened there?

I met the final boss, the final boss said I would meet her daughters, and then she left. After that I mostly stayed around chatting with Bigtera about my family and my city, until my unknown time was up and I woke up.

But if BB threw the gauntlet... where is her daughters? Did she chose to forgive my sexual harassment! Please tell me that's the case, because Soulaki and Hideaki might as well be different people! Also, it's not my fault BB has such a perverted body...

Altera glare gets worse. "Master, what is that thing touching me down there?" Hah? It's my erection of course. Since I started thinking about how hot you and BB are, I naturally popped a boner.

This is no good. "Don't worry about it, let's just start the morning, specially since we might have hunters after us." I must shift the topic of conversation immediately! Seriously, I was such a fool, of course there are consequences for being a pervert!

Altera nods. "You are correct, we must prepare against BB." Without hesitation she gets up, while I do my best to cover my erection. "Do we have any clues about her supposed daughters, Master?" Sort of...

I make a thinking pose, while still laying down sideways beneath the blanket. I have to let that boy die down after all. "All I know about them is that supposedly they destroyed this place called Clock Tower." It had something to do with mages.

A rare trace of emotion appears on Altera's face, it's shock. "I see... I suppose such fire power is not unexpected from the Moon Cell, but it still worrisome to hear about it." She looks at me. "Listen Master, the Clock Tower is a... mage headquarters of sort. One of the biggest in the whole world, that she destroyed is no small feat." Well, we already knew we are the undergods anyways.

BB killing a bunch of mages doesn't change my feelings, even if BB exploded the sun my feelings would not change. That's because humans can only comprehend so much, and as far as I'm concerned, I'm already trying to do the impossible.

And just the thought of that kills any horniness towards BB or Altera, finally letting me get up. "So, what hours are now anyways?" I was planning for a quick nap, so I could find my parents, but... I have no idea how much I've slept.

It was probably a lot though, I wasn't really thinking about it, but I couldn't set an alarm clock. And worst of all, I hadn't slept the night before, which means my body was not ready for a small rest, it greedily wanted a full one.

Altera looks at the window. "We are devoid of any devices that tell the time, but it is night." Yeah, I guess it is dark out. I went to sleep before the sun set, so it wouldn't surprise me if it was midnight right now or something.

This feels awful, there's just something shitty about not being able to tell the time. It's like a basic right that any human should have has just been stolen from me... But I shouldn't complain too much about it, people have died, I'm actually having tons of luck right now.

I cross my arms. "Being without technology is gonna be a pain... Any clue on what we should do Altera?" I do have a few ideas, but I want to hear her out. That's the bond I hope to establish, not that of master and servant, but that of two equals... Even if I'm pathetic compared to her.

She doesn't take her eyes of the window. "We should abandon this place, it made for a nice temporary based, but it is now compromised." She looks back at me. "That said, maybe we should look for supplies first. They will become scarcer as time goes by." Right, specially since freezers have stopped working.

I raise an eyebrow, while I agree with her, there is something I'm curious about. "Got it, I even have some backpacks to put supplies in, but... Why has my home been compromised?" That doesn't sound good...

Altera goes back to looking at the window. "The enemy, BB, is intimately familiar with you... Well, as the current rule of the Moon Cell she is probably familiar with every living being on Earth. She has a particular distaste for you however, enough to take your mother's face as her own in some attempt at mockery." Yeah, and I don't even know why she is like that...

She continues. "Her daughters will target this place first, therefore we should leave. Though... it is my hope that she will not utilize the Moon Cell's calculations or eyes to hunt us down. My existence does give some protection from the former, but the latter will be impossible to hide from." So if she wants to win, she wins.

What a mess, but as I said before, this already looked impossible from moment one, far worse than David and the Goliath. So I have no hope, except for foolish hoping that she will have some honour and won't cheat to win.

I too look at the window, the rain stopped. "Yeah, that all sounds like a massive pain." That means no more monsters will spawn, but we still have to handle the ones that are around. "It is what is is though, so let's get going." After an affirmative nod from Saber, we start the day... or the night in this case.

There's a surprisingly lack of rush in our actions, I almost feel comfortable enough to take a bath, though in the end I decide to pass up on it. It would be embarrassing if BB's daughters found me while naked.

Before long I gather up all the useful tools and supplies I can find and put them all inside of a big black backpack dad uses for traveling. It has a surprising amount of space on it, even if it's sort of uncomfortable to carry it around.

I take a deep breath. "Okay I think we are all ready now so..." Feel free to take down the ice wall, that's what I want to tell Altera, but there's something stopping me. I wonder, is it because I fear leaving it's safety?

Or maybe it's because I don't know where to go? We will be wondering around the city aimlessly after all, without a single lead on what path we should take to eventually obtain a win over BB.

No, that's not it at all. I know the reason why I stopped. "Actually... Hey Altera, before we go, do you want to take some of my mom's clothing with you?" That's right, I promised to Bigtera that I would play dress up with Smalltera.

Well, I don't actually know if mom's clothes will fit her, but Rider's definitely won't, so this is the best chance we got. Ah, I don't want her to wear my dad's clothing by the way, such a scene would lead to my death.

She could wear my clothing though.

To my surprise, Altera shows no happiness, though she shows no annoyance either. "If That's what you desire, I will comply, Master." Her answer should make no sense. I know... I think her and Bigtera should be the same person, and the giantess was clearly looking forward to this.

So what's with her reaction. "It's don't particularly care..." That's not true, I want Altera to look as cute as possible. "It's just what I thought you would want." But I guess if she doesn't, then she doesn't.

Altera looks away. "I figured you did not care." Immediately my heart sinks, the disappointment in her voice is clear. I... I can't even handle a normal girl, so it's only natural I would fumble the bag with her.

Still, maybe I still have a chance to fix this. "W-well, the truth is..." Right now I wish I was the soul of Hideaki Emiya, who honestly says what's on his mind. "I want to see you dress up, because I want to see you in different outfits." A stylish Altera sounds like a dream.

Sadly my confession does no good, in fact she seems to be scowling a bit. "How do you care?" What is that even supposed to mean!? Seriously, how do I get a read on you!? "Please show it to me." Show...?

Okay, I need to think, and I need to think hard. Just what is going through the heart of this incredibly hot Atilla the Hun? I feel like the answer should be obvious, and yet I can't grasp it all.

Show it to her? Like proof? That's probably because she feels my actions contradict my words, as in, currently I'm not showing it to her. So what have I done that is contradictory?

Ah, I get it. I said she should just take clothes from my mom, and besides the fact that no girl would like that... Altera probably views it as me not even giving her enough freedom to chose a style. I don't care what Altera wears, as long as she wears something else, that's probably what she thinks I'm feeling right now.

I have a feeling that reaching Altera's heart can be a challenge if I don't bother to truly listen to her. "Sorry Altera..." Not that I'm trying to reach her heart at all! I'm just apologizing because it's the Emiya way... or something.

Yeah, this is the apocalypse after all. "Instead of doing what we suggested, we can stop at some clothing stores while we explore." Yes, I will go shopping with a cute girl since it's the apocalypse. Actually, I will probably just steal everything.

Thankfully that displeased face of her disappears, and she gains the bare semblance of a smile. "Yes, that sounds acceptable." Even legendary conquerors can care about fashion huh?

Actually, this might be just an Altera thing. She's the one who said Atilla wasn't cute enough, and gave herself a nickname after all... How surprisingly adorable for a supposed bloodthirsty monster.

Altera's sword appears on her hands, her mark as a hero. "Shall we go now, Master?" I nod, and she swings her sword on air, I can feel the heat that is melting the ice wall. "Please stay behind me." I'm all for that.

I love watching your behind. This is the apocalypse by the way.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////

"Does this look good, Master?" Altera leaves the changing room, she's wearing surprisingly short jeans. And that's not all, she's also wearing a bikini... hot! She even took off her veil, showing her short hair. "This attire shall be used if we ever need to explore the beach." I doubt that such a thing will happen.

But I give her a thumbs up nonetheless. "This is definitely the best one so far." She has tried dozens of swimsuits and other types of beach-styled clothing. In fact she has tried dozens of types of clothing in general.

So far our exploration has been simple. We walk a bit, Altera finds a clothing store that she likes, cleans it of every monster inside, and then raises her super useful ice walls... After that she tries pretty much every type of clothing she can get her hands on.

I actually had to steal... acquire another backpack just to put all the clothing Altera has stolen... acquired in. By the way, this is not a date, Altera may be showing me how she looks after every time she changes, but this is not a date. This is the apocalypse after all.

Altera makes a thinking pose. "I'm glad it has received your approval." Any clothing that you wear receives my approval. I just stopped saying yes to everything because you were clearly getting mad about it.

I shrug. "Don't worry about my approval too much, if you find something that you like, pick it up whether I say yes or no." In the end this should be her decision. Besides, no one will judge her for being weird! Since everyone is dead and all.

Really, this should be creepy. Here we are, illuminated only by the moonlight, the only reason why we even see is because our eyes have gotten used to the darkness at this point... and what greets our eyes is blood.

And yet, this feels cheerful, enough that Altera even has a slight pout. "I want to wear clothing that has been approved by you, and that I like." She nods to herself. "And so far that wish has been granted." I see, so I have gotten lucky and picked all the right choices.

I smile. "I'm glad that's the case. Then please let's keep up with this way of doing things, I want to see how you make those clothes look even better after all." Altera looks beautiful no matter what she wears, and so it's almost like her clothing is being dragged to her level.

She returns to the changing room. "I shall return to my modern clothing, please make more space in the bag for this set, Master." Ah, I might need to pick up a third bag if this keeps up!

The ground is painted with dry blood, the walls are painted with dry blood, women and men died here, adults and children begged for their lives here and were cruelly met by the fangs of monsters and the pain of their miserable ends, what a bunch of...

Attila the Hun spent her life shedding blood, therefore it's only natural she would be accustomed to having a date in what has now become a chilling graveyard. That isn't the case for Hideaki Emiya, and so why is that I feel so...

It doesn't matter, this isn't a date after all.

...

This might have been slowly turning into a date. "So this is an amusement park? I expected more..." Atilla complains as she swings her sword, immediately it extends and cuts a horde of monsters in our path.

I look at her and chuckle. "Well, normally things would be working, and... it would be day, so things would be a bit more cheerful." Right now this is just a scene straight out of a nightmare, out of a horror movie.

The park is destroyed, because not a single piece of machinery works. And together with the fact that the ground is filled with dry blood, it's dark as hell, and it's filled with monsters? Yeah, this place sucks.

But at least Altera makes it beautiful with her existence. Right now she's wearing surprisingly fashionable clothing, with a blach stylish jacket and jeans... She also put her veil of all things in a ponytail.

Altera nods. "I suppose I cannot blame the park for being disappointing when humanity has all been wiped out." Yeah, specially when even with our exploration we have not seen a single damn human.

BB said she predicted ten percent of humanity would survive, but... we have found no one yet. Just the occasional animal, like the A.I. said, lifeforms that are not humans will not be harmed, this was a planned and spiteful attack.

If we take the state of the streets, I would assume she's lying about humanity's survival, and that I'm the last one left, but... currently I'm hoping that all survivors stayed in bunkers or something.

Smalltera tilts her head. "So, is there truly nothing to do here? If that's the case we should quickly look for any possible survivors and then leave." Well, that was always the plan. I'm definitely not going on a date with you during the apocalypse.

I cross my arms. "We could still take a look..." Even if I really can't think of anything that BB's rampage has not killed. "If you don't want to though, we can speed things up." I will throw the ball at her court.

Altera begins walking forward. "Let's take a look. Even if things have not survived with their original functions intact, it is still worth it to see humanty's civilization." Hah, I wonder what aliens will think about us.

While we walk, and Altera casually destroys all the creatures we find, eventually I find something interesting. "Oh, cool, gacha. I guess that plague is dead." No more shitty mobile games to manipulate gambling addicts.

But what I see is no mobile gacha, it's a real life one! Well, not exactly, it's actually a claw machine filled with plushies of many popular characters. Welp, sorry Pikachu, but with the extinction of mankind you are not as popular as you used to be.

I walk towards the machine, and Altera follows me, hopefully curious. "So what's that, Master?" Oh? You don't know? How strange, so far you seem to know everything modern... The reason for that is the Holy Grail War of course, it filled her head with information.

I guess this is a case of knowing and not knowing? Like an old man who knows a console, but does not know the meaning of a Playstation? "It's a claw machine... a broken one of course." Like everything here...

I point at the part that is supposed to steal all my money. "Normally someone puts a bit of money on it, for a chance of controlling the claw for a few moments." Then I point at the goal. "The objective is to make a plushie fall here, so you can collect it." It's something mom used to enjoy.

I remember her and dad taking me here... Just a family having fun I guess, but even as child I knew, that to my parents this was both joyful and terrifying. A consequence of their pasts, most likely.

Altera starts circling the claw machine, like some weird sexy monster looking at her prey. "Sounds easy enough. Though I do understand the concept of putting a challenge to make the reward worth more..." Oh? That's surprising.

I snort. "It wasn't just a challenge, this thing is almost impossible since the claw is so weak. It's probably cheaper to just go and buy the plushie you want." Not probably, definitely. I still find them fun though.

She raises an eyebrow. "Then why play with this at all? One could simply buy the plushie and find another game more worthy of their time with the money they have left." Why indeed... I guess if I had to answer it would be...

I think for a moment, but I finally realize it. "It's greed. It's technically possible to win the plushie even on the first try, even if it's super hard... specially for all the amateurs who use this thing." It's just like the thing I have with BB. "Humans can't differentiate between ninety percent chance and one percent chance. We just think about the good ending." I'm the same of course.

Altera chuckles, much to my surprise. "I see that the wish of a hero lives in every human. Even if small and faked, ambition is there." Was there... Is there in ten percent of us, sinxe BB wiped out the rest.

But enough about this talk, I should probably figure out why Altera is hounding the damn thing like she's a starving dog and there's some tasty food inside... Oh, I'm an idiot, the answer is obvious, specially for this gap moe incarnate I call Saber.

Now it's my turn to chuckle. "Altera, while the machine may not be working, we can still get those plushies if you want to." Ah, the benefits of everyone being dead... It's easy to loot whatever we want.

Altera immediately looks at me. "And how do we do that? Is there some sort of secret to this machine?" No. Besides the fact that it's made for fools, and that I would love wasting my money on it trying to get you something.

I tap the glass. "The secret is that it's easy to break this." She nods and then sends me an expectant look. Sadly I will have to disappoint her. "You do it. I won't break glass with my barefists, that would be dumb." I'm not a magus, I still don't know how I healed my leg after all.

She raises an arm. "Understood, please step back, Master." I nod and follow along with what she says. I don't want any shard of glass ruining my fairly handsome face... Wasting those genetics would be a shame.

I close my eyes, and shielf my face with my hands. "Okay, do it Altera!" Immediately after I give the signal I hear the sound of glass shattering. She didn't wait a second more than necessary... she really wants this huh?

Thankfully my hands didn't get hurt, so I uncovered my face and see that some plushies fell down... while others didn't. Either way we can grab whichever ones we want.

Ah, and to think I used to be so proud whenever I managed to snag one to give to mom. That memory just feels numb now. "So, which ones do you want Altera?" It goes without saying, but we can't take them all.

I'm already uncomfortably carrying two backpacks... Hopefully I can put one of these bad boy's in Altera's clothing one. They don't look big at all after all, not like the ones that can be found in the other machines around here.

Altera is looking at them with seriousness, this is seemingly a hard decision. "I care not for picking." Y-you don't!? And here I thought you had eyes on one... "I desired a plushie, I never cared for which it was. They're all cute anyways." I see...

If that's the case. "Let me pick one then! If you don't mind of course..." Since she says nothing against it, I do as I said. "This one, isn't he the cutest?" The one I picked is the yellow rat that isn't as famous as he used to be.

Altera extends an open hand, the one that is not carrying a sword. "This one seems fine." And without a word I hand it to her. "Thank you. It is now special to me." Oi, are you trying to give me a heart attack?

I blush bright red. "W-wow, you sure know how to lead on a guy Altera." Well, I'm a mega virgin, so I know that pretty much every girl could do what she's doing. Still... she's not just any girl, I have said this many times, and I will say it many more, but Altera is beautiful incarnate. There's not a single human flaw in her appearance.

She seems confused. "What do you mean by that, Master?" Yeah, she is stealing my heart in this date without even realizing it. Not that this is a date of course, this is the apocalypse! People are dead! Humanity is basically gone! Not a date!

I look away. "Don't worry 'bout it... Anyways, wanna keep checking stuff out? Or do you wanna go?" Altera has cleaned plenty of monsters, and the ones she hasn't killed are starting to run away, and yet we have seen no survivors.

This place is another bust... This is bad, there won't be anything left for me to conquer if humanity really is gone. And here I was, thinking that ten percent was already more than bad enough.

Altera first hands me the plushie back, even though I just gave it to her. "Take care of Mr. Ratticus please." Actually, he has a name, it's Pikachu. "And please follow me, I had an idea of something that has been destroyed, and yet stands." Oh? That sounds nice.

I hold Mr. Ratticus with one hand, and give her a thumbs up with another. "Just lead the way, I'm interested in what you have come up with." Besides, I am hoping to truly experience an amusement park one final time.

We walk for a while, it's tranquil... serene. At this point there are no more crazy monsters, so Altera doesn't have to suddenly swing her sword around, we get so comfortable that eventually she even dismisses the whole thing.

Eventually she points at... a ferris wheel of course. I grin at the sight. "So, what do you want with Spider-Man's most iconic villain?" It looks as broken as the rest... Actually, it looks even worse.

Some doors are ripped straight open... even the doors that are up there. How did the monsters manage to do that? I haven't seen any flying ones... Well, it was raining and so they probably spawned on top of them.

That must have been a terrifying experience, but to be honest... I don't think we have seen any monster that is both strong enough to rip one of those doors open, and graceful enough to not fall off... How strange.

Altera looks at me like I'm an idiot. "I'm not talking about a villain, I'm talking about a Ferris Wheel." Right, my mistake of course. "We could still use it's intended purpose fairly easy, could we not?" Could we...?

I don't get it. "But it's not working... I guess you were right in saying that it's standing tall though." The monsters didn't bring it down in their mad frenzy for human death. How nice of them.

Altera rolls her eyes. "Yes, but why did humans use the ferris wheel? To reach grand heights, correct?" Yes, and to make out, I guess. "I can easily jump up there, in fact I'm graceful enough to take you with me, so take care of Mr. Ratticus." That...

Doesn't sound like a good idea. "W-wait a minut-!" She never listens to me, instead grabbing a hold of me. "Seriously...!" I can't complain, I'm the one who asked her if she had any other ideas, but...!

My heart is skipping out of my chest, I always knew Altera was theoretically capable of jumping this high, but I didn't think she would foolishly take me along with her. Specially with barely any warning at all!

As soon as we land the highest we can lend, the whole wheel shakes, but with my new found great luck, it doesn't completely fall apart. Which means I have avoided a pathetic death for now.

Altera releases me, while she possesses a glimmer of a smile. "As I told you, Master." I immediately have to balance myself, trying not to fall... Though even if I did, Altera would probably jusf catch me anyways.

So after regaining my balance, I move to the edge, and sid down. "Just give me some warning next time you do something like this..." Ah, my first not-date would be ruined if I had a heart attack in the middle of it.

Altera sits to my side. "I warned you, Master. I shall warn you next time as well of course." That barely counted as a warning...! Ah, whatever, getting angry at you for small stuff isn't worth the effort.

Besides, it's kinda of nice being up here. "The view hasn't changed at all." It's just as boring as always, but it's familiar. All I see is the grey of giant buildings... and also the amusement park of course.

Altera takes a deep breath. "I cannot comment on that. It has for me." I suppose it did. In your time there was nothing like this... I bet it was more beautiful too, but maybe this is just a case of the grass looking greener.

I smile. "So what do you think Altera? What's your rating?" I would give it a one out of ten. It's so dark I can barely see anything, in fact the only upside is that with this I can barely see all the blood in the ground.

Altera shakes her head. "I do not wish to give a rating to a civilization that is close to dying." She slowly looks up. "The sky is a zero however, I can only see the moon..." Ah, that's our fault too though.

I follow her lead, as she said, it's a boring mess. Apparently it used to beautiful when father was young, but at this point there is way too much smoke in Fuyuki, we are a city of the future after all.

But the moon is still there, I used to think it was sort of beautiful, being so alone. "I give it a zero too." Now it just sorta ruins everything. It's tainted the wonderfulness of... of just what exactly...?

I close my eyes.

...

It was just me and dad, sitting down. Staring at the moon, the stars were already gone, I don't think I ever actually got to see them in real life, just in the internet.

He smiled and told me about his wish of being a hero. He smiled and told me about him becoming mother's hero, and how that fulfilled him... That he wanted to be my hero too, that I could come to him for anything.

I asked him why he wanted to be a hero in the first place... Was it because it was cool? Maybe that was it, but who knows? Dad is a weirdo, he says he gave up on being a hero, but he still helps whenever he can help.

He said it was just a beautiful thing to he saw oncez, that saving everyone would be great. I nodded, because I knew he wanted me to nod, but I couldn't see it

That's because I always thought humans were kinda pitiful, dad included of course.

...

Altera puts a hand on my shoulder. "Enough relaxation." Immediately I open my eyes, her voice sounds serious. "I can feel a servant approaching, and we are in an awful position if they are hostile." That's bad.

I immediately move, crawling away from the edge and then getting up as Altera does the same. "Got it, let's jump down." This might be the supposed hunters/daughters who were sent after me, I don't know if we are in day two after all.

Altera grabs me with one hand, she was more gentle on the way up. "Do not drop Mr. Ratticus." And then her sword is back on her hand, illuminating the night with it's many colors.

She jumps while holding me, but thankfully we don't descend fast enough to kill me. In fact our fall is slow enough to be almost completely safe, that's because Altera is using wind to slow down our fall.

That gives our enemy/unknown enough time to reach us however. I can't see them, only their... short silhouette, very short even, as if that of a child. Also, they have animal ears and tail. Hah!?

Altera steps forth. "Identity yourself, or be cut down." She doesn't sound exactly up to discussion, but that's because she's... special, let's leave it at that. That probably means diplomacy will be up to me.

I too walk forward, but not enough to move in front of Altera. I'm not crazy after all. "By the way, we are not looking for a fight." I doubt this animal midget will care though... at least if they're her daughter.

The shadow moves closer, they are shadow no more. "Ah... I'm not looking for a fight either... Just for human survivors and stuff." She's a little fox lady dressed in a kimono, and... and...! I feel like my heart is about to break in a million pieces for some reason.

She continues, just her voice alone makes me tremble. "It's just that... You guys are the second Master, Servant pair I found, so I'm came to check out if you guys wanted to go to the shelter..." The shelter!? That means...!

Altera's guard hasn't lowered at all. "Shelter? You don't not seem the heroic type, in fact you almost smell of villainy." She's a kid, so please have some patience Altera!

The fox girl sighs, it's familiar, and uncanny. Everything about her is familiar and uncanny. "Well, true, but I can't let all humans be extinguished..." She nods to herself. "I'm looking for a... special human... Oh, and I'm Rider by the way." The class I assume, it's not a name like with my aunt.

But if there really is a shelter for surviving humans. "H-hey... I'm Hideaki, and this is Saber." I have to go there, my family could be there... I won't give this servant Altera's true name though.

No matter how much my everything is both screaming to trust and to not trust this girl.

She smugly smiles. "Great! You're my type, so you're another strong contender for that role...!" Just what role exactly!?
