"I'm going to strangle you Aqua." I open my eyes to find myself in front of a clear field. I think. It's night right now, so I can't see a goddamn thing. "You chose the worst time to be yourself..." Wolbach hasn't even had time to prepare our teleportation circles to go back home...

Suddenly I'm hugged from behind. "Don't speak like that! This will be fun!" Even though I can barely see, her voice gives the game away. The useless goddess is the one hugging me, she probably found me using my voice.

And speaking of finding people, I started shouting. "Is everyone okay!? Can I get some light!?" Ironically enough, the moon is currently covered by clouds, so we can't even count on it's light.

As soon as I ask for it, I receive it. Both Rudeus and Wolbach extended their palms and make a small flame ball using their mana. Magic sure is convenient, and I could probably have been learning it right now, if it wasn't for Aqua dragging me in this adventure.

I look around. "Okay, is everyone accounted for...?" I check my comrades one by one. Darkness, Aqua, Megumin, Kazuma, the heroic party made it just fine. Eris and Nina are here too... And so are the people from my class, Rudeus, Fern and Frieren... Wolbach made it as well, and thankfully so did Yunyun.

So what do we do now...? Where even are we? Did the teleportation circle misfire because Aqua poured mana into it without thinking? I don't really know how magic works, so I can't tell if that's possible or not.

Thankfully Yunyun alleviates my concerns. "We all made it! We're back home!" This is your home...? That's concerning... "Um... Though we have to walk a little, since Miss Wiz couldn't set the teleportation directly to the village." Ah, I'm guessing it would cause problems like teleporting to Sharia.

Megumin is sweating for some reason. "Hey Yunyun, doesn't that mean we are..." She looks around, a worried expression on her face. "Everyone please keep watch! You never now what monster might show up at night, like a rapist orc!" Good point... Hey, wouldn't screaming attract them!?

Thankfully we have someone with tons of experience here, Frieren, who shouts. "Everyone, act as if we were in a dungeon. Fighters go to the from, mages in the middle, and healers in the back! With one defensive fighter in the back as well!" She sounds like a teacher who's organizinga camping trip...

That said, we don't take much time to organize into a formation with her around. Not every single one of us used to this of course, but thankfully Frieren's experience accounts for that. So in the end, I end up being in the back, as a guard for the healers.

Yunyun however, ends up being in the front. That's because she's gonna be the person guiding us to the village. In other words she's our scout... Honestly there are so many people here that I don't really feel worried at all.

Aqua raises a hand. "Yay! Let's begin our adventure!" This dumbass seems way too excited for someone who just messed everything up. "I haven't gone in a quest for so long that I was starting to miss it!" This is way more important than a normal guild quest though!

Wolbach looks back at her, glaring. "Don't get too excited you delusional woman. The only reason I'm not teaching a lesson right now is because I'm worried about my darling." She then looks at me. "Make sure to tell me if you feel something off, okay?" What am I? A baby?

But there's no reason to be rude to her, much less to worry her. "Yeah, I will. Don't worry Red." She nods and goes back to looking at the front... I imagine that if we were attacked from the back we would be in trouble.

This isn't exactly a dungeon, this is a open field, which means there are many directions to attack us from. That's why I do occasionally look behind me, even if it's very hard to see at night... And occasionally the moon does clear up.

However, our scout suddenly stops walking. "We are about to enter into a forest, so please be even more careful from now on! This also means we are close to my village!" Ah, I better not end up being spider food or something.

Megumin let's out a sigh of relief. "Okay, we didn't encounter... them. If we did I would need to throw Kazuma and Rudeus as bait to protect Purge King." I don't know what you guys are talking about, so please give me context! It sounds scary!

Wolbach frowns. "I see we are getting closer and closer to our objective. Sadly I will need to bow out here, I cannot go any farther ahead." Right, if you do they might try to capture you. Still, just leaving you here feels...

Frieren raises an eyebrow, clearly suspicious. "And why is that? I guarantee to you, that the Crimson Demon village is very friendly to outsiders, they are no Oni, that's for sure." That's good to know, I suppose.

Wolbach awkwardly scratches her cheek. "Well, it's because... you know... I have some past troubles with a few elders here. Nothing too bad of course, and as proof, I have taken young Megumin as an apprentice." The maybe delinquent nods from the sidelines.

However, Aqua is the worst, so she tries getting my fiancee killed. "She's actually a Dark Go-! Ouch, domestic violence!?" The reason she just screamed that, is because I purposefully stepped on her foot.

Can't she realize we are in kind of a bad situation here? Stop trying to cause team troubles damn it! "Stop picking fights Aqua, or I'll put something over your mouth to shut you up." Well, I don't actually have anything.

She giggles. "Keep that information for bed times hunk." And then she starts sending me fake kisses. You know what? As long as she's not trying to get any of the people I love killed, I see this as a win.

Darkness crosses her arms, and tilts her head. "I agree with her Subaru. I understand that you are a man of... needs... But we are in a precarious situation here!" Don't tell me you actually bought what Aqua is saying!?

Eris interjects, she sounds pissed off. "Yeah, and if you insist on being a perv, then at least aim your lusts at Darkness! Not her...!" By the end she's glaring at a smug looking Aqua. I suppose this inner conflict truly will never end.

"Indeed! Even a man with a harem must follow rules!" Urgh, I know damn it... Eh!? Who just said that!?

Turning around I see... "A Malegumin!" And not just one either, though there are many Femalegumins ass well. Did we get way too close to the village and they noticed us...? I guess that was our intent anyways...

His crimson eyes immediately focus on Wolbach. "Hey... aren't you the Dark Goddess we bought from the Axis Order?" Oh no, this is bad... Wait a minute, what do you mean bought from the Axis Order!?

No, that doesn't matter, I have to save my fiancee. "Actually, I made her into my wife!" If these are Megumin's people then... "I am Subaru Natsuki, the Purge King who seduced a Dark Goddess!" Work my secret chuuni technique.

He gasps. "R-rad...! Maybe even more rad than the Dark Pillar of Eternal Darkness and Love...!" The dark what!? "So anyways, why are you back home so soon Yunyun?" He seemingly doesn't even recognize Megumin...

She looks down... "Well..."

"Oh...! I'm so happy to see you doing good Rudeus!" Right now Yunyun's dad, Hiropon the chief of the village, is giving Quagmire a tight hug. "And that goes for you as well Eris!" I guess they know each other...

While Eris nods, Rudeus awkwardly tries to escape the hug. "Y-yeah, I'm happy you're doing well too...! I guess you weren't lying about having a daughter!" Quagmire might suffocate and die soon if he doesn't let it up.

Sadly he does. "Still, I must ask Rudeus... Where is Rujierd? It is strange to see Dead End having expanded so much, and yet their icon isn't here..." The moment the name Dead End leaves his mouth, Frieren scowls.

But Rudeus just responds without an issue, a smirk on his face. "The fates called upon Rujierd! His eternal journey among the sands of time continues..." Yeah, he definitely knows how to mingle amongst the Manygumins. "Anyways, this isn't Dead End. Just a bunch of friends from school." He nods.

That said, now I'm curious about this, so I raise a hand. "Actually how do you three even know each other?" I know they met Crimson Demons in their journey that Eris doesn't talk much about, but Hiropon isn't just any Gumin, he is the Chiefgumin.

Eris crosses her arms. "We met all the way back in the Demon Continent. Hiropon was busy trying to find a rare flower to heal his sick daughter, and once Rujierd heard she was a kid we immediately offered our help." So it was an standard adventure huh?

Hiropon looks up, tears in his eyes. "Indeed, I shall never forget how you all saved Yunyun from her imminent demise..." He cleans his eyes. "And now because of you all, that very same daughter stands here, all grown up and ready to marry!" I accept marrying this YMT!

Yunyun takes a step back in shock, her face is bright red. "First of all... don't say I'm ready to marry! And second of all, I don't remember getting so sick I was close to death or something!" Hah?

Megumin quickly nods. "Yeah, I pretty much grew up with Yunyun, and she never had any serious disease or anything. At least not anything that required a trip to the Demon Continent..." Then what is going on here...

Hiropon looks at MMT, his eyes confused. "You grew up with my daughter...? Funny, I don't really remember you at all, to be honest I didn't even know we had someone here that wasn't part of the Crimson Demons." The white hair is that powerful!?

MMT's eye twitches. "Um... I'm Megumin." She raises her hands, her crimson eyes shining. "The best user of Explosion Magic in the entire world!" That's probably Wolbach actually. By the way, pretty much none of the Crimson Demons have bothered my fiancee.

All it took really was just telling them that she's engaged to me, they apparently find it pretty cool. And probably due to the shock of how easy everything was, Wolbach is just staring at nothingness, shock on her face.

Hiropon scratches the back of his head and laughs. "I see! My bad Megumin...!" And then his face turns completely serious. "So you've figured that out huh? Keep it to yourself, we've had enough accidents already." What are you talking about!?

Megumin looks just as shocked as I do, but I ignore that for now. "So Mister Hiropon... Did Yunyun get sick or not?" I guess I could drop this line of questioning, but now I'm kind of curious.

He laughs again, this time harder. "Yeah, she did, but it was just a common sickness. We could have handled it pretty easily by ourselves, and once the royal family found out the future leader of our village was ill they also offered to send a bunch of fancy healers." Then why...?

He continues. "But... Yunyun is my pretty little princess! So I heard about this amazing looking purple flower that could heal any sickness, disease, curse... you name it! I just had to grab it for her, because my little angel deserves better than just common medicine!" You wasted something that important.

Rudeus' eye twitches. "Oi. Oi. Oi. We all almost died, Rujierd almost died...! And he's him! What do you mean you didn't need the flower!?" Truly the Gumins are a interesting species with no survival instincts.

Eris quickly nods, her face is filled with disbelief. "Seriously...! Just have some common sense and use normal medicine damn it!" I think this might be common sense for them...

Yunyun too glares at her father. "I can't believe you used my sickness as an excuse to have some far off adventure! You're the worst of the worst!" Actually it's not common sense at all. Maybe Hiropon is a weirdo even by Crimson Demons standards.

Hiropon bows. "I see that I have made some people upset. I'm sorry you three feel offended..." What's with this youtuber type apology!? "Still, I plan to keep my word to the people who helped my daughter." So he promised something...?

He ends his bow. "It goes without saying, but all the Crimson Demons already know that the Superds are not monsters..." The moment he says that, both Eris and Rudeus smile, but... Frieren's mana floods the room.

Her eye is twitching. "Just what have you been teaching your children? There is a reason why those... things are feared. To spread some idea that they shouldn't be is foolish to the extreme." She really does sound pissed...

However, the one that responds to her is not Hiropon, but Eris. "Hey! Don't go talking about Rujierd like that! You never even met him!" My fiance seemingly has a lot of respect for this guy, and so does Rudeus.

Frieren glares back at her. "I'm well acquainted with the demon known as Dead End. He's nothing, but a beast who burn down city after city with no remorse, the fact that he still lives proves that there is no such thing as karma." Geez... Even Fern is looking worried now.

And Eris might punch my teacher, thankfully Rudeus is the more diplomatic sort. "Teacher, I know you're a veteran of the Laplace War, but... listen to me, there was a curse and..." He gets cut off by the elf who rolls her eyes.

"Yes, a curse who drove those beasts to commit the horrible acts they did, a likely story." She then glares at Hiropon. "This is the village he gave his life for, and you repay him by... by excusing monsters? The Superd are not humane, much less heroes." This is getting worse and worse...

The village chief sighs. "We are very grateful for all Sir Himmel did of course, but I ask of you to... let this pass. I met Mister Rujierd, he was nothing like the Superd were described, that I guarantee." I can't believe I'm seeing fantasy racism...

Frieren takes a deep breath. "Fine. Do as you wish. I can only hope your foolishness does not drive any Crimson Demon to their deaths." They're naturally pretty dumb though. The Manygumins invest all their skill points in everything, but wisdom after all.

Kazuma suddenly raises a hand. "Um... why are you guys suddenly talking about the hero Himmel?" From what I remember, that's Kazuma's reincarnation, so it's only natural he would be curious.

Hiropon sighs. "That's because he was a party member of Miss Frieren..." For real!? So Oldzuma got to hang out with a silver haired elf...! "And he met his end protecting us, there is even a statue of him in the center of the village." So Kazuma is the reason MMT is alive...!

He slowly nods, looking pale. "G-got it..." Nina tightly holds his hand. How adorable! When did these two grow so close!? I know they're engaged and all, but still...!

Hiropon then takes a deep breath. "My apologies to you all, the mood got very dark suddenly, didn't it? So let's go back to what I promised to Miss Eris and Mister Rudeus." I hope he gived my fiancee some cash!

First he looks at my War Goddess. "You never specified what you wanted, so feel free to pick anything you need from the village... For example, we have the Godsword here! Apparently Dragon God Orsted can summon it at anytime, but until he does it's yours!" Isn't he currently your patron deity!?

He continues. "We also have a replica of the Dragon Sword Reid if you need something a bit more lasting, it even gives you it's iconic Divine Protection! It's a failed copy that drains seventy years of lifespan per second though." That sounds horrible!

By the end he's back to laughing. "Oh...! If you seek a bit more knowledge, there's this book that tells the future or something, we stole it from a nerd called the Witch of Greed some hundreds of years ago! It burns your brain though." All of these items suck! Seriously, what the hell!?

Eris closes her eyes, she seems serious. "I'll put some serious thought on it Hiropon. Thanks for the offers." I just hope they have something better than the items they describe it... Maybe it's worth taking that Godsword?

He waves her off. "No need to thank me Eris, you saved my daughter's life after all." She really didn't! You are basically giving away your village's treasures for free! "Anyways... about what I promised you Rudeus... My daughter's hand is yours as promised!" But she's my YMT! Damn you Chiefgumin...!

Yunyun immediately objects of course. "N-no way! Pay attention to what you're saying dad! You can't just sell me to some random guy I've barely interacted with!" Yeah, sell your angelic daughter to me instead!

Megumin begins giggling. "I for one think it's a good idea. Yunyun is a loser after all, so it's only natural she can only find a husband if someone forces her to." Last time I checked you're a virgin as well!

To my surprise however, Rudeus shakes his head. "Sorry Hiropon, but I'll pass on taking your daughter's hand. I'm... I already have a girlfriend. No offense to Yunyun though!" Y-you're actually acting normal and nice for once!?

Yunyun has tears in her ears. "Rudeus...! Thank you! Just the thought of marrying you made me wanna vomit!" Oi! Isn't that a bit much!? "I mean...! That's not...! I...! Sorry, please don't take back your words!" If he does I'll kill him.

Rudeus' eye twitches. "It's fine... I guess I just have that effect on woman." He looks to the ceiling. "Wait a minute, of course it isn't fine! Argh, whatever!" You deserve everything bad that happens to you.

Hiropon raises an eyebrow. "So you'll pass Yunyun? Okay then." He looks at Eris. "So Eris, do you want my daughter's hand instead? I don't judge those types of relationships." Stop trying to sell your daughter!

Eris shakes her head. "I'll pass too!" And immediately Yunyun seems relieved. "Instead make her my fiance's woman! He seems to be into her!" You noticed, wow, you always pay so much attention to me... Wait, don't just say stuff like that!

I give her a thumbs up. "I'll take her." I'm sorry! I regret my actions! It's just that if you dangle YMT in front of me, of course I'll take a bite...! Ah, that sounds super bad! What the hell am I thinking!?

Hiropon smiles. "A man who's engaged to Eris, a Dark Goddess and has a sex slave can't be too bad! Okay, I approve! My Yunyun is now engaged to the legendary Purge King!" Yay, approval from the parents!

Yunyun passes out.

Megumin passes out right after it.

Sadly, Fern ends the Megupocalypse. "Can we talk about what we came here for already? This feels like something very important that we are just ignoring." She has an adorable cute pout on.

Frieren pats her head. "You're giving the game away, hide your jealousy." How is she supposed to hide it if you talk about it outloud. "That said, my student and the rest came here for a reason." Right, Moons.

Aqua begins healing the downed Crimson Demons, and while she does that, she talk. "Yeah, this place is prophesied to become history. By the way, aren't you guys too lenient on Dark Goddesses?" Stop trying to get my fiancee killed.

Hiropon hums. "Become history? Is the Demon King gonna send more forces here? Because we can handle pretty much everything they have thrown at us so far..." That's good to know, I guess...

I shake my head. "That's not it. We received a prophecy from a diviner from this village that-" He cuts me off with laughter.

"Oh? This is the talk about the Moon right? We all know, and we all know the cause." Hah? "It's hard to see at night, but there's a huge pillar of darkness in the village right now. That's because one of our younglings caught the feelings for Satella, the Witch of Envy and is trying to summon her so he can take her to a date. Satella... Satellite... Moon! Makes sense, right?" That's...!

He continues, nonchalantly. "We thought about admonishing him, but eh. He used to be a creep to that very same diviner, but now he's being a creep to a bad guy... gal, so it's all good. Also the pillar looks super cool during the day." You... Chiefgumin, I...

Frieren gets up. "You all take a rest, I'll go make sure natural selection doesn't take this species." Indeed.

Even if they are stupid, we must protect the Manygumins.
