"You know a city is disappointing when the first place a guide takes you is some weird food stall." Are you bullying me or my city? Either way, please forgive us, Lady Illya.

I pout. "This place is an awesome food stall though, and curry is a great breakfast." Since we left so early we pretty much didn't get anything too eat. I figured we should fix that as soon as possible.

And a smiling Saber seems to agree with me. "I'm looking forward to it. Exploring shall be much more fun with our stomach's full." Her ahoge is moving like a dog's tail as she waits for the food to get ready. What an amazing sight.

Specially since she's actually dressed like a normal girl now. We already passed through Rin's house and my apartment to collect our things, so we had the opportunity to get changed.

And we also confirmed that people most definitely died, there were police cars around my apartment complex after all. Still, it's not like we can do anything about that right now, we have to wait until night comes.

Illya glares at her Servant. "You're a ghost. You can't have a full stomach. You can't have a empty stomach either." Isn't it more like she's completely empty in that case?

Saber blushes. "W-well, I remember eating from when I was alive. I could go without eating if needed of course, but... it's a pleasant sensation." She wants to stuff her face-in because food is good. Got it.

I chuckle. "Right, that's understandable and you have been putting in great work." She's insanely strong, that's for sure. "So feel free to wait as much as you want, I don't mind paying for it." Specially since she's pretty cute like this.

If I hadn't met Illya, Saber would have definitely stolen my heart at first glance... Not that Illya stole my heart! Actually Saber stole it! Yeah, I definitely don't have any weird feelings towards Illya!

Saber sends me a bright smile. "Thanks. You're a worthy pupil." My heart might have just melted right now, who knew King Arthur was this powerful!? And most importantly, why did Lancelot aim for her wife, and not her!?

Rin giggles. "You're so cute, Saber." Why do you look like you're frothing at the mouth? "Ah, I bet we would have been a good team. A great team even." Archer might cry, ya know?

Saber clears her throat. "I appreciate that...? But Illyasviel and I are a mighty team already. She provides me with as much mana as she needs, and she's a talented magus as well." These two might be the strongest pair in the war... Besides Gilgamesh and whoever his Master is, of course.

Illya quickly nods. "Yep, me and Saber are invincible." I'm just glad you feel good enough to say that, I know Berserker dying hurt a lot. "Though really, I shouldn't have expected any less of King Arthur. When the time comes your Archer will lose." Ugh...

I still don't know how to feel about the war carrying on, but even the thought of the Servants getting hurt makes me feel bad. Saber is my teacher, Rider gave me advice when I most needed, and even Archer didn't hesitate to lend a helping hand.

I suppose they're dead anyways, but... Honestly as time goes on, I realize that I dislike this Grail War more and more. It's the cruel type of magecraft, just like Zouken's weird bug things.

Rin's eye twitches. "We'll see about that, brat... Wait, King Arthur!?" Right, she didn't know her true name. She probably doesn't know Rider's true name either... since Medusa helped me, I'll keep it as a secret.

As Saber sheepishly looks away, Illya grins and shrugs. "Surprised? Differently from you, I don't mind saying my Servant's true name. Everybody is bound to learn it anyways." I still don't think that's wise.

While Rin recovers, Saber chuckles and mutters. "Master is certainly unlike that man..." She must have been speaking of one of her knights... Or maybe Merlin? He would probably be the sneaky type.

Rin crosses her arms. "Ugh..." She has no answers to the small girl.

And so Illya laughs. "Hah! How weak! I bet your Archer is some nobody who will die as soon as his weaknesses are revealed." We better hope that's not the case, we need him to be strong if we are going to kill Gilgamesh.

Rin puts her hands on her head. "H-he is very strong! I'm just not saying his true name because I'm not an idiot, that's all!" I can feel my confidence on him shattering. Thanks big sis.

Before Rin can keep going with her meltdown, our food arrives. The scent of it seemingly calms everyone, and we begin eating. It was about time, because I'm starving! I've developed a healthy appetite because of my training, as one would expect.

Rin makes a thinking pose. "So, after this we could go to the Fuyuki Bridge... or the Ryuudou Temple... Those are pretty much our city's only tourist spots." The fact that we count a bridge as a tourist spot makes me incredibly sad.

But... "Sounds good. Let's not waste time with the bride though, like for real." At least the temple is pretty cool. "Anyways... Boss, I'm done! Please make me another serving! Actually, start preparing ten more!" This is way too little!

Rin looks as if she saw a ghost. "Are you a real human being?" W-where did that come from!?

Illya interjects. "Maybe Daichi got replaced by a black hole on the way here. Actually, that might be too much for even a black hole." A-are they judging me for how much I eat!? It can't be helped if I still feel hungry!

I can only stammer in response. "G-give me a break...! It's just that this level of hunger comes naturally with my type of training!" At least Regulus says so! "A-and I'm paying for it anyways, I'm paying for everyone in fact!" So I can spend my own money!

Saber comes to my rescue. "Don't let them get to you, a warrior's stomach requires more food than the heart of a lady." I can see that she too has already finished her food. "By the way my pupil, may I truly eat as much as I like?"

Why is it that I suddenly feel fear. "Of course, I'm not gonna go back on my word after asking for ten more servings..." She too must have a warrior's stomach. Even if she probably also doesn't have a stomach.

Saber smiles. "If you were of my time, a seat at my table would have been yours." That's a huge compliment out of nowhere! "Boss, please prepare me twenty more servings!" Double!? I still have much to learn...

Well, I can't get mad at that face, so I simply go back to waiting for my food, and accept that this result was brought by my own hands. Still, if I keep feeding Saber like this, sooner or later I'll run out of money.

I shouldn't need to worry about, since Saber is a ghost she will disappear eventually. Geez... why did I have to think of that? Now even though we are in a pretty happy setting I'm slowly getting depressed.

Thankfully, Rin takes my attention away from the topic. "By the way Daichi, you never told me why you got those weapons." It's a easy question, one I pretty much told the answer to everyone already.

Then why is it that I can't tell her. "Well, it's because... um..." All I have to say, is that I got them to save the world. And yet under Rin's gaze I'm completely petrified.

Rin smiles. "If you don't want to tell me, that's fine. Magic stuff is supposed to be a secret to each family, remember?" And I'm not her family, at least that's what she's implying right now.

And her logic makes sense when viewed through the lens of a mage. If the Ryouta family has decided to branch into the world of the supernatural, the Tohsaka family has no right to ask for their secrets. As long as I don't make a mess on her territory, everything is fine.

I want to deny this of course. I'm the person who has been going around screaming that she's my sister, but... for some reason I can't. I don't have the courage to tell my big sister that I need to save the world.

So I simply stay silent.

Fuyuki really is getting chilly, to the point that it's snowing. The food in my stomach does it's best to warm me up, and even so I can't help, but shiver. If nothing else however, it makes the sights on the way to the temple more beautiful.

I suppose the city itself is beautiful, at least it's side that is more traditional. Since I live on the more advanced side, seeing sights like these are certainly pleasant. I'm not against progress, but I do hope this side never gets consumed by it.

Which is why it's strange how my eyes never wander across the scenery. Instead they're constantly focused on a single piece of snow walking in front of me, Illyasviel Von Einzbern. Just the sight of her cheerfully speeding along makes me almost forget my dilemma with Rin.

Which is why I raise an eyebrow when she suddenly makes a sharp turn and runs into a park. "Illya? Is something wrong?" All three of us silently follow the giggling girl.

And then once I enter that park... I'm hit by a snowball right in the face. "For real!?" The cold hitting my face isn't too bad, Absolute Demise probably makes sure things can never go past uncomfortable when it comes to cold, but it still makes me take a step back.

Rin sighs. "Oh great, the kid wants to play." Her words are clearly meant to mock Illya, but all they do is remind me that she really shouldn't be in a war. And then that reminds me that I almost killed her.

Illya smiles from ear to ear. "Yep!" And then she mumbles. "Some jerks are way too gloomy, like seriously." And after that another snowball flies into my face, I don't bother dodging.

I get what she's trying to do... Honestly if this keeps up, then I'll owe Illya forever. That's...

I slowly walk in her direction. "Are you sure you want to challenge me Illya? I don't have much practice with this, but I'm a quick learner." This is the type of things I really couldn't do as a child... I'm excited to try!

Another snowball flies into my face, yet again I don't bother dodging. "Eh? Is that so? Because this is the third time you have been hit already." Cocky brat, getting cocky because I'm giving her free shots.

I get on my knees, and start gathering snow. "What can I say, I'm a tank, Miss Glass." I will actually need to put tons of effort into holding back my strength. Though it's not like I go around breaking doors by accident, so this should be fine.

Rin rolls her eyes. "Are you two really gonna do this? What if some normal person passes through and see a teenager throwing snowballs at a kid?" That I'm a normal guy entertaining his cousin or something?

The truth is that Rin probably just wants to be a normal person who avoids getting into a snowball fight when she has places to go. That is very lame however, and therefore she must be punished.

Clearly Illya and I think the same, because a truce is momentarily born. Both of us aim our snowballs at Rin, and in a second we launch. I aim for chest, and Illya aims for her face as usual... We both hit out marks.

And because of that we naturally awake a demon from it's slumber. "You little brats!" In a second Rin rushes towards a tree, clearly looking for cover. I guess that's a much smarter strategy than being a so-called tank like me.

I grin, and go find my own cover, choosing a place behind a fake house. I guess kids are supposed to play behind it. Still, on my way I'm forced to dodge another attack by Illya... our truce sure broke quickly!

Still, as Rin and I try to kill each other, Illya goes more or less ignored. Not to say we attack her, but a understanding that she's weak and can be destroyed later is reached. And so she remains as a chaotic presence, never truly helping one of us.

And then a dark thought hits my head. "Yo Saber!" I look at her, King Arthur, a grown woman, even if she looks younger. She's watching Illya with a fond smile on her face. "Don't think neutrality exists here!" And I send a snowball at her face.

Saber is a Heroic Spirit, and if what I threw her could actually damage her, without a doubt she would have dodged. Maybe because it's just a harmless snowball however, she is hit right in the face.

That said, there is no doubt that a miracle happened just now. When I eventually fail a strategy with one percent chance of succeeding, and die, I must remember that I wasted all my luck to hit King Arthur right in the face. I broke history right here.

As the snow slids of her face, I'm met with a blushing Artoria. "D-Daichi!?" I just threw a snowball at the face of a king. She said in her time I would have a seat on her table, but I think I would just get executed.

An awkward grin reaches my face. "W-wanna join us?" I cannot help, but notice that the attacks coming my way have stopped. Both Illya and Rin are staring at me, wondering how such a fool could ever exist.

Saber... slowly shakes her head. "Thank you for the invite, but it's better that I keep watch instead. Just in case a real attack happens." I didn't even think of that... If Gilgamesh caught me like this I might end my own life.

However, while common sense might be able to defeat me, it's a useless weapon when Illyasviel Von Einzbern is involved. "Saber, stop being such a bore and come play already!" Amazing.

Saber tries to resist. "B-But Master... I really don't think that's wise." It's not wise, and your mistake is thinking Illya cares about that at all.

Illya, who is not ashamed to use dirty tactics, glares at Saber. "Berserker would have played with us if I asked him to." I cannot deny those words, but that scenario is way too scary, so please let's keep it as an what-if forever.

Saber pouts. "I... very well, Illyasviel." And then a look of hunger appears on her eyes. "Let's have a fair match, a competition to be prideful of." Why... why is my body suddenly being filled with a primal fear!?

"Okay Sab- Ugh!" Saber hits Illya without hesitation. The force of the snowball immediately takes her out of the game, eliminating the chaotic factor that Rin and I had previously ignored.

I can see Rin sweating behind the tree. "For... for real?" She now faces the Saber she once desired. "Well, I won't back down!" She leaves her cover to attack, knowing that Saber herself has yet to take cover. That is to say, she has the advantage and could retreat at any moment.

Rin gets hit on the head by Saber's snowball immediately. She may be dead, I cannot confirm it.

Now only I remain. "I'm backing down! I'm definitely backing down!" I'm shifting my position so that Saber cannot attack me. This means I cannot attack her as well, but that's okay with me, I'm okay with ending this war!

I can hear her demonic voice approaching. "If you wish to hide behind your walls, be aware that I shall simply knock them down!" For a second I actually fear that Saber is genuine gonna destroy my cover.

But she doesn't. Either because she's not insane, or because she knows I was expecting that. Instead she simply rushes at my position, and by instinct I throw a snowball at her... which she dodges gracefully of course.

Saber doesn't actually stop to throw her own snowball at me, instead she's aiming to knock me out of the game once she's even closer to me. Perhaps because me hitting her at all when she wasn't part of the game made overestimate me?

And then it happens... another miracle.

Let's talk about miracles. When people think of them, the first that comes to mind is probably something like water being turned into wine, or a disease being suddenly healed. These are the types of miracles brought about by saints.

The other type of miracles are the ones brought by pioneers. It's when a risky strategy which should fail succeeds, or a unmissable blow misses. If people like Napoleon or Francis Drake were summoned as a Servant, they would probably have some sort of skill related to this.

The second type of miracle happens, Saber... the legendary King Arthur, one of the greatest swordsmen in history... trips. It shouldn't be possible, this wasn't a case of a low percent chance that happened in only one universe across the multiverse, this was a impossibility. I should buy lottery tickets.

But Saber doesn't just face plant on the ground, she had too much momentum, and so she is sent flying a bit. Seeing her face, filled with far more shock than ever before, is way too scary. But it's okay, I'll just grab her midair.

Or at least that's what I would have normally done, but suddenly I feel weak. It makes me think I might have caught whatever is affecting Sakura, which would be seriously unfortunate.

Saber hits me like a human torpedo.

BAD END XX - Thirty Something Year Old Hags Shouldn't Be Allowed To Play With Children!

Actually, I do avoid death, but Saber ends up on top of me... And I give birth to a fictitious type of miracle. With my right hand groping her chest, and my lips connected with hers... I become the legendary lucky pervert.

It ends in a second, as Saber basically jumps away from me. "I-I'm so sorry, Daichi! That was an accident!" I...

I sit up, my face is completely red. "T-that was my first kiss..." Taken by the legendary King Arthur. Would it be bad of me if I said she has to take responsibility? Is that a card available to guys as well!?

Nonetheless Illya and Rin are quickly up, probably planning my demise... Is what one would think, but Illya is glaring at her own Servant instead. "Saber, explain yourself immediately!" Hah, I'm not gonna be crucified for this!?

Rin's glare is even worse than Illya's. "Saber, I still have plenty of Command Seals to call Archer. So you better have a good excuse why you pulled Daichi by force and started making out with him." I-I was never defended by family before...

Saber is sputtering. "It was just an accident! I was... I was just trying to achieve victory and I tripped! It was a fair match!" All that she had said is true, what just happened should not have happened.

But that excuse isn't good enough for Illya. "I'm going to execute you, Saber. I would tell you to say hi to Berserker, but you won't be returning to the throne."

And it's definitely not good enough for a pissed off older sister. "A Saber Servant tripping!? You couldn't come up with something better!? I'm dragging you down to hell, you fourteen year old looking hag!"

And so, Saber reaches her own bad ending.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////

"Why are there so many stairs?" Illya complains, even though she's being carried piggyback style by me. I would honestly have died if I attempted this before my past training.

I shrug. "Dunno, maybe the monks here see getting up here as something enlightening. Also, we are going up a mountain and stuff." The latter part is the most important one.

Slowly moving our way up does provide many beautiful views at least. And they're a nice way to distract myself, otherwise my eyes would definitely be locked on to Saber at all times.

Rin suddenly speaks up, her tone is frost cold. "Saber get your creepy eyes of Daichi." She was watching me!? I'm seriously gonna have a heart attack.

Saber sputters. "I wasn't! My eyes just happened to wander across his face for a second!" I will die, please stop. "A-and I already said that past event was an accident!" Rin seems unconvinced.

And that's been our dynamic on our way up here. Illya complains about random things, I try not to die, and Rin bullies Saber for a past event she had no control over. It's a calm walk at least...

Or at least it is until a boy coming down the stairs greets us with a smile. "Ryouta? What are you doing he-." He sees Rin, and that smiles dies immediately. "Tohsaka." That's right, we encountered the legendary Issei Ryuudou.

I wave at him. "Yo Senpai! I'm just showing the sights to a few foreigner friends here. The kid is Illyasviel, and..." I think about coming up with a fake name for Saber, but then I remember Illya doesn't care. "The blond one is Artoria."

He slowly nods. "I see... My name is Issei Ryuudou, I live here. It's nice to meet you all, I hope pleasant times are ahead." You know, that doesn't come out exactly inviting when you're glaring at Rin the entire time.

"With that said, are you sure you shouldn't be resting Daichi? You looked... awful during that day." Right, he's under the illusion that I entered his classroom and passed out because of sickness.

If he knew the truth, he would probably be even more worried. "I'm feeling better... and hey, going to a temple can only do me good right? Oh, and the doctor gave me a few free days, which is why I'm here." I'm making up bullshit.

But I think Issei is going down because he's heading to school, so I figured lying ahead of time could be useful. Well, Illya and Rin could just make him forget this, but that feels like a massive overreaction.

"Um... I hope being here helps you then. That said, make sure to not completely ignore school. I heard you're an excellent student, it would be a shame to see that change." It will though.

I only plan to seriously go back to school once I stopped the spider. Until then wasting my time with school would be idiotic. Though I guess I shouldn't be saying that when I'm going on a date in the middle of a war.

Issei then glares at Rin. "So Tohsaka, what's your excuse? Shouldn't you be heading to school just like me right now?" My poor sister... being judged even though she was going to school even after her Workshop got wrecked.

Rin gives him a sickly sweet smile. "Sorry Ryuudou, but it's private. That said, I'm only going up a temple right? So you shouldn't be worried, I'm not doing anything indecent." She's actually protecting me from the indecent Saber.

He clicks his tongue. "I suppose that's true. Well then, have a nice day." And then he continues on his way.

And so do we, even our meeting with him didn't change much. Eventually we end up making our way to the temple gate. "It's... surprisingly empty." There's a weird feeling on my stomach.

Illya pats my head, signalling for me to let her down. As I do so, she begins to talk. "It's surprisingly bland, I can't believe we took all this time to get here." More complaining!? "Anyways, can you feel it, Saber?" So there is something wrong here.

Saber nods, and then slowly walks in front of us. "Show yourself!" Her invisible sword on hand, she prepares herself, calling her armor on top of her normal clothes.

Rin puts a hand on her skirt pockets. "Ugh, of course some mage made this place his base. I can't believe I didn't think of it." Does the Ryuudou Temple have anything special to it?

As soon as I think that, he appears, a samurai. Without a doubt a Servant. "Oh my... so many guests... I hope I can be a welcoming host." A massive sword appears on his hand, way too big to ever be used by a normal person...

Welp, it's time to convince another person that judging the Justice League is a good idea!
