Hello again! Here's what I got done this week:

  • Fixed an issue in which pressing the "Show Desktop" button in Windows caused the menus to break and soft-locking the game
  • Added star sprites for outfit sets
  • Made the stars spawn on the outfit buttons that are part of an outift set
  • Gave each star a way to identify its outfit and colorize itself accordingly
  • Made the stars invisible until matching parts are discovered through flashing
  • Fixed an issue in which certain customizations would flash on game start and immediately show the stars
  • Sketched up a visualization for the Outfit Sets Menu (OSM)
  • Added all visual UI elements to the OSM
  • Made the OSM slide in and out of view with the press of its arrow button
  • Created listings in the OSM that give information on each outfit set
  • Made each listing hide and reveal information based on the number of stars that have been discovered in that outfit set
  • Made each listing detect when new stars are discovered in their respective outfit set
  • Created visibility button sprites
  • Made visibility buttons toggle the visibility of stars that have been discovered
  • Created a star sprite for... well, the stars
  • Created a lock sprite to replace the star sprites in the OSM when no stars have been discovered in that outfit set
  • Made activate buttons toggle themselves off and the other activate buttons on
  • Made activate buttons turn that listing yellow to indicate that it's the active set
  • Incorporated saving and loading into the discovered stars, visible stars, and activated outfit set

I know, I know. I still haven't finished the Patreon tier drawings... But I did get a freaking planet's-worth of progress done on Run From Me!

Since I'm rather tired after a long day of programming, and since it would take me like a week to explain all of this stuff, I'll summarize it in one sentence: The Outfit Sets system is complete! ...Miiiinus a wee little bug that causes the game to crash every other time it's opened. I know where in the code it happens and why, I just... ugh... my brain is too melted to fix it right now. And believe me, I tried to fix it. @_@

Anyhoo, I hope this list of tasks was at least mildly coherent. I can assure you that the programming side is so, SO much worse than the list. XD  I'm gonna go sleep and dream my dreams of Taco Bell. In the meantime, you guys study up on programming. There will be a test at the end of this lecture. I'll see you guys again next week!
