Game Size: Small
Ambition Level: Medium
Art Style: 2D
Genre: Strategy/Survival
Synopsis: You, the giantess of the story, must survive by making various moral choices and managing resources. Will you be a blessing or a curse to the village of humans?

This one was inspired by games like Sort the Court, which involves making decisions that affect you and, more notably, your entire city. In this idea, however, you're not a king or a queen; you are a giantess. Who could have seen that one coming? :o You've taken refuge by a nearby village, which seems less than welcoming to your overbearing presence.

The name of this game is making tough choices. You need to eat, but at your size there isn't much in the way of food. Do you rummage through the village's food supply and starve them just to hold yourself over? Do you go hungry for the night, weakening yourself to whatever you may encounter tomorrow? Or perhaps, do you take the darker path and eat the villagers themselves? Nobody's hungry with fewer mouths to feed, after all.

Heat. Thirst. Hunger. Monsters. Humans... Yourself. What will be your greatest hurdle?

--- Progress Report 12/10/2021 ---

It's beginning to look a lot like Friday!

No progress this week, I'm afraid. This week really kicked my butt; the holidays are upon us, and my job is really picking up speed as a result. I don't think I ever mentioned this to you guys: my job is a cookie baker. It's a very fun job and I absolutely love it, but holidays are murder. x.x Christmas is the biggest one, and it's already busier now than it was on Hallo-freakin'-ween! Needless to say... I am afraid. ;~;

It also means that I may not get hardly any progress done these next couple of weeks, both because of my job and because of all the traveling I'm gonna be doing to see family. As an introvert, I'm gonna be crazy drained by the end of this month. Things should pick up pretty quickly come January, however. Slower work days, no more traveling (please...), and extra time and energy to devote to Run From Me and drawings and whatnot!

That is, assuming I survive this month. I'm gonna need a looot of Taco Bell. m(_ _)m

I hope everyone's December has been going well! Stay safe, stay warm, and enjoy your time however you see fit! I'll see you guys again next week!

Will there be anything other than eating humans or not eating them? I mean... just a game about food is not a bad idea, since it is a moral dillema, but I believe you can do more than just that in simple ways...

Cool idea! Seems like this would be a great candidate for a fantasy setting too! So would this game be more about choices and then have images or little animations to depict the consequences or what? Being a cookie baker sounds strangely relaxing... I don't know why. I'm sure it's messy and busy as hell though. I know someone who works in the postal service and they pretty much hate Christmas because it's just ruined this time of year for them. Dealing with 100+ packages a day really adds up.

Yummy cookies

MilesMouse

Oh, absolutely! The food dilemma was just an example. There'll also be thirst, monsters (probably in the form of monster girls), rival villages and maybe smaller issues like hygiene and comfort to deal with on top of the moral choices. It won't be easy to get to the end (if there is one). :P

MilesMouse

The double-lemon ones are my favorite! :D I've gotta be careful, though. If I eat too many I'll turn into the Cookie Monster. :P

MilesMouse

Agreed! Lots of potential with magic added into the mix, and a midieval-ish setting seems like it would fit really well. ^_^ I envision it having an idle animation for the giantess and different sprites depending on her condition, and the same would go for the village. Otherwise events would have still images and some flavor text. :) Oof, yeah, I don't envy people in any kind of mail/packaging jobs, especially during Christmas time. It generally is quite relaxing until you get an order for 50 dozen cookies of different flavors all due the next day. Thaaaat was my Thursday. >.<

First of all... I love that game idea and I think I know someone who might enjoy playing it. x3 I mean, aside from me. xD Also don't worry too much about not making progress, focus on your job and surviving! o/ It is more important, that you stay safe and sound. :3

MilesMouse

Is it me? Cuz I for sure wanna make it, erase my memory of making it, and then play it. :P And thank you! I'll do my best! o7

Haven’t the people that hired you ever read “If You Give A Mouse A Cookie”??? I also love that game idea! It seems almost like choose your own adventure type of thing but way cooler.

MilesMouse

Shhh, they don't know I'm a mouse. :x And thank you! Based on everyone's positive response to this idea, this one is very likely to happen someday. ^_^
