Friday already? Man, time flies when you're working!

Sadly, I've made no new progress this week aside from learning more about Godot and the 3D modeling process. The physical toll of my new job is finally setting in and I find myself sleeping earlier and longer, giving me less time to work on stuff for you guys.

However, I don't want to leave you empty-handed for the week, so here's what we can expect in the near future:

  • The next task for Run From Me is to add the second foot on the other side of the screen. I'll also need to figure out what happens if the player goes too far downwards, or if I should just put an invisible wall there.
  • The next drawing is in its planning stages -- I'll probably be working on this next.
  • In the realm of 3D modelling, I'll be working on the tongue, teeth and eyes next. That'll be fun and horrifying! :D
  • The comic storyboarding is on hold for now while I find my groove with everything else. I'm hoping to use my 3D character models in tandem with drawing to make the comic's drawing process go much quicker.

There's still lots to do all around! That comic is practically my endgame at this point -- I may make smaller comics in the meantime once I get all the contest drawings done.

Hopefully I'll have more progress by next Friday. It's hard to find the time to work on it since I'm exhausted after work on weekdays and doing chores on weekends. >.<  We'll make it work, though! It's all about finding that groove (and my body getting used to the work, which shouldn't take more than a month or so).

*Asks Google for Taco Bell in the area... there is no Taco Bell in the area.* Welp... time to buy a flight ticket for a single time visit to Taco Bell... I am sure nature and the climate will forgive me. :D Thanks as always for your report! ^-^ And I agree with Egroj up there, take care of yourself! o/

Can't wait to see where this project goes! So I have a few ideas for what could happen if the player lingers near the bottom too long. A, the player moves too low and gets "kicked" back up to the top of the screen. This would deal 1 point of damage. B, player get's lost under the giantess and she pauses long enough to give the player either a chance to get out of the way or be "accidentally stepped on". Probably as a game over screen. C, the player get's "picked up" by her toes and either squished or thrown back up top. D, game over butt crush scene :) Just some cool ideas I had. Personally, I think the kick animation combined with some unique game over screens if low health would be awesome. However, like the other guy said, take care of yourself and don't work too hard :D

Yeah, I don't care how long it takes you to make this game... I know it's gonna be fantastic! Game dev is hard, especially without help. Your last game had soooo much polish it was incredible! You definitely deserve a job at a studio.

I love options from A to C... It's probably best to add the easiest one first, then if you have time and wish to do it, adding others as optional and make the giantess "randomly choose" one of the four...

I wanted to write my idea for what can happen when the players goes too far down, but that's basically option B in the comment by Bombur... The only difference is that I imagined it as screen going dark and giantess saying "where is he?" or "you cannot hide right under my feet you know?" (depending on the character of the giantess) then we hear a squish sound and the regular squish screen shows up... The possibility of escaping would be good and the time would be, until both of the feet touch the bottom of the screen and barely move forward indicating you are hiding under her... Also I have income again and I can become your patron once more!

These are all excellent and really get my creative juices flowing! :D Right now, I'm thinking the player will get to choose what the giantess is like. (Cruel, unaware, playful, etc.) As such, I'll include different CGs and dialogues based on her personality. ^_^ (I know, I know. Feature creep... But what the heck, this game is probably gonna take a while to make anyways so we might as well go ham! :P I'll add the custom personality to the $200 goal, that way there's more motivation for everyone!) Lastly, welcome back and thank you for the support! \ ^.^ /

Oh I love that idea! Bro, take as much time as you need! It'll be just that much better when you're done. You could also release one personality at a time. I love the idea of unaware/clumsy :3 Really hope you meet your goals. I'm not the guy to get you there but even if I can help just a little I hope I'm doing my part!
