Okay, I definitely underestimated Bae or at least completely forgotten how impressive she was since watching her Mujin Service, she's my no.2 now after Lily.

I'm surprised cos Haewon has always impressed me but it's clear her voice at the moment better suited for power and full ness but lacking intonation, flexibility and fluidity. Perhaps it's the songs but I'll definitely keep an eye on her!

Lily's technique was insane BUT Kyujin is also VERY impressive, she really does remind me of Cocona, they'd make for a fruitful collaboration I think!

Enjoy!

Yea, one thing you'll notice about the group is that they all are competent belters (some more than others obviously) because of their supported diaphragmatic approach (probably due to the live singing and dancing they do). I think Lily and Haewon are more focused on improving their vocal agility given how much better they are compared to 1-2 years ago to even recently (if you ever want to compare Haewon's "run for roses" vocal runs between the recording and the 360 sound bomb version, which is about 5 months apart). Both Bae and especially Kyujin has had the most improvement from debut, where they both improved on many fronts of their singing. A lot of people were shocked when Kyujin's relaxed falsetto appeared in party o clock and then more agile in Dash. Unfortunately Jiwoo just doesn't get many extended singing lines, but hopefully next album we can stray away from the rap talk singing a little bit and get some vocals. And I hope Sullyoon can develop her vibrato so that it isn't shallow and shaky. Thankfully it seems like the girl aren't stagnant vocalists and that they seem to improving each comeback, which given what's happened to ITZY/TWICE's vocals as time went on, I'm thankful for.

Its seriously so hard to tell Jiwoo vs Kyujin apart visually. I constantly do double takes. Its easier to tell them apart when they sing I came around a bit late to Nmixx but I think they are now my favourite among the young groups. Glad they found a stable fanbase as well so they have freedom going forward. They really don't need any overall concept. Their "concept" just needs to be that they are really good. Kinda like Red Velvet?

I'll be honest I do not follow a lot of the girl groups in KPOP, I tend to follow the ones with strong vocals, nice harmonies, and songs that lean more rhythmic with melody and production (Red Velvet (bsides), New Jeans (nostalgic, I feel like they will grow more vocally but what a nice start to be so young), XG, and now NMIXX! These girls have really blown me away not just vocally but with their choreo also...very intricate, detailed, and even hard hitting at times. I haven't delved into the discography fully yet as I am still very locked in to the current album (very good). Also honorable mentions Fromis9, latest comeback was so good! Oh and I love Mamamoo's vocally as well.
