Still a few more weeks of intense deadline craziness at work so I'm only managing to eek out little bits of my own stuff at the moment. A smart person would just rest up after work but I'm broken and feel worthless if I'm not moving forward on my own stuff. I just get more stressed out if my stuff gets left behind because I know that work projects just move on. If I don't work on my stuff it will NEVER see the light of day and that really stings... so MORE WORK during rest time!

So here's the little bits of process on cutting up a character to use as a puppet animation. The green is the base image and all the other bits are copies  of smart objects -  which are all the layers but I delete the stuff I don't need and add in the bits I need underneath. That way I can see progress and match up stuff as I need to. This is about three evenings worth of work so far.

It's  pretty low stress and almost relaxing but I put of starting it for a few months because I wasn't sure how I wanted to chop it up.

Just make sure to balance your time properly! Working 200% for extended periods of time is never good.
