Greetings adventurers!

Every once in a while you come across an interesting fellow that seems cut from a different world and plopped into your own. I’m no stranger to planar travel, but even sometimes I’m surprised. On this day I met a particularly musclebound individual with no shirt and a red bandana around his head. An odd fashion choice to be certain, but not the worst. He mumbled something about spending too much time killing when he handed over this bow. I never did get his name, but I hope he’s found his peace out there somewhere.

Our patrons get early access to all of these items as well as additional formats that are easily usable in both physical and online play for D&D and Pathfinder 2E. Additionally they get high-res art exports, easy to use text exports, behind the scenes updates, and a lot more.

Design notes from Matthew:

Alright so we’ve been wanting to do some more projectile based weaponry here and there as it’s a bit underrepresented in some 3rd party spaces and we think there’s a lot of room for improvement. One thing to be careful of though is limitations. Range is already a powerful defense mechanism so you need to be sure to balance that out in some way and typically the easiest way to do that is to provide daily limits. I’m sure there are other ways such as keeping someone stuck in place for time, but I don’t like to hinder movement as that just feels bad.

For the 5E version, there’s not a lot of rules involving bombs or the like so I wanted to make this much more magically themed including magical arrows that regenerate over night for example. That keeps this firmly in the realm of a magic weapon and allows me to control the output of it a lot easier. Generally if you say players can huck whatever in there without specific rules, well you end up with some problematic scenarios.

On the PF2E version, they have rules for all types of alchemical bombs which allowed me to keep this out of being a magic item. I opted instead to make it into an alchemical item and give it a daily preparation limit to curtail some of the problems that could come from stocking up on tons of these explosive arrows. With enough preparation, you surely can, but time is usually of the essence. I also attached a monetary necessity to make sure players couldn’t just spam out 50 of these things overnight.

Our August offerings have been a treat to keep developing and I’m looking forward to putting the rest of them in your hands by the end of the month. We’ve also got a creature coming at the end so you’ve got that to look forward to as well!

We highly encourage you to join our Discord server where you’ll get access to exclusive channels that have sneak peeks, behind the scenes chatter, and more.
