iClone Crowd Test with Walkway in Synty Town (Patreon)

Hello Supporters!
I've cobbled the above animation together in half an hour on Sunday, trying out the new Walkway Crowd feature in iClone 8.4. It's based on Motion Director (I think), but according to the interface regular motions should also work.
The idea is that you create a walkway object, drag in a bunch of characters, specify how many you'd like to be there and how they should behave. Next thing you know you have an autonomously walking crowd.
The downside is that they don't seem to have collision enabled, so when they're dense like in my scene, they intersect badly. I imported the actual sidewalk from UE over to iClone as a reference, but I didn't export the houses so my crowd people like walking into things they're not supposed to. Some of their feet don't' make ground contact either, because the walkway object is only used as a guide and they tend to walk outside it a bit too. Transfer of 20 characters with animations to UE took about 12-13 minutes, which isn't bad.
I'll have to try the nav mesh with obstacles thing next and see if I can have them wait for a door to open.
