Hello Supporters!

Last week we had a little discussion on Chris' Discord about a phenomenon some of you may be familiar with: texture compression in Iray. In a nutshell, Iray is trying to be helpful by compressing textures for both speed and maxing out VRAM, but it comes with the cost of lost details. It's enabled by default (naturally) and disabling it currently can't be saved with a scene file in Daz Studio.

In this quick early access I'll tell you all about that phenomenon (in two languages if you like), how to avoid it, where the settings are currently and where they're moving to in the next update of Daz Studio (where we will be able to save them as a Render Settings preset and the scene file).

This is going out ahead of the earlier videos I've shared with you here, probably next Monday. Enjoy!

In health related news, I've got another exciting weekend of Colonoscopy Preparations ahead of me for the second big event of the year happening on Monday morning, bright an early at 7am or something crazy. They're given me a new bowel prep medication that comes in a huge 1 gallon flask that comes with a lemon flavour sachet, indicating that without said sachet the taste will be ever so slightly yuck.

It's all good though, let's just hope it works and we'll see if I'm still cancer free for a couple of years. Wish me luck, and I might see you for a spontaneous clear liquid stream this weekend on The YouTubes!
