Piper Niven talks NXT, Rumble sign catching fire, and more. (Patreon)

Fightful spoke to Piper Niven for one of her last interviews as Doudrop.

She said that she enjoyed her appearances in NXT in 2022, but wanted to mix it up a little bit more than she got to. She said that a kick from Jacy Jayne cracked her really hard and she's not sure if she actually went out cold or not, but she didn't care because they won. She said it was hectic at the time because the women's tag tournament was happening on the main roster, she was going back to NXT and it was a lot to handle. However, working through that showed her she was fit to handle it.

She looked back on the Royal Rumble match with Becky Lynch and said Becky told her the WrestleMania sign was on fire. Piper replied with "hell yeah we're on fire." They had no idea if the building was going to be evacuated or how exactly they were supposed to handle it. She was excited to work that show because the Royal Rumble is her favorite event of the year.

Nikki Cross is a personal friend of hers, so working with her was a highlight. She's been enjoying the skits that we've seen of her lately and is very happy for her.

Her recovery from COVID was scary because there was no particular time frame for her to be out like other injuries. She's very flattered that people keep bringing up her name to pair with Becky Lynch on Raw, as well.
