Oof, yeah, same, I was so angry about the scoring when I watched this. I guess this is what you get when you invite battlers to judge choreo. The funny thing is that this was an issue already in the past (not on SDC, but 2 SDC3 contestants had beef with each other because a battler was a judge at some other event and his biased judging cost a clear favorite crew their win because he gave them a 0, and they were talking about it on the show). I don't know, it didn't use to be an issue in early seasons because they didn't publicly reveal scores until last season, and ever since then all the scores are always either near 100 or complete nonsense. It's almost like the people giving out high scores are scared to offend or something. If it were up to me, I'd give Jay a 60-65, Ding a 75-80, and Vanness a 70-75. Adjusting for SDC inflation, it still makes no sense how close Ding's and Jay's scores are.

uh the cuts on this one are weird, between the slowmo and the 3d(?) effects... The one who criticised Vaness is as you said just a couple of mins before one of consulting performance directors/ choreographers i wonder what did this judges thought about when they went to bed that night
