Highlight is originally a Performance group track and the dance was also created with 4 people in mind. I think that is why the difficulty of dancing seemed more advanced (at that timeline) than general group perfomances. Since Performance team had the pressure to deliver the performances :) Since it became very popular among the fandom and the concept was fresh for SVT, they made a full group version. And I think they did an amazinh job of adjusting the formations from 4 to 13 people, while maintaining pretty much the same choreo. The clockwork choreo parts really benefit from the addition of extra people.

I'm so glad I watched this version because I think it looks wonderful regarding the adjustments you previously stated!!!

I'm not 1000% sure that Choi Youngjun is the choreographer for THIS but he has been the Choreographer for the VAST majority of their choreographies though other Choreographers have also contributed (Hot included We Dem Boyz submissions as well) especially in more recent choreographers. You can see him in Street Man Fighter as the 1Million sub-leader if you ever get to that content.

really?! That's awesome! And I don't know if you saw, but I have the ENTIRE SMF season recorded and in a collection here on Patreon!!

I'm pretty sure this was choreographed by the Performance team themselves (mainly Hoshi), at least for the original 4-member version. Choi Youngjun might have helped them figure out formations for the 13-member version though. For this song, Hoshi went directly to Bumzu (Seventeen's main composer along with member Woozi) and explained to him what song he wanted through dance moves going "I would like the song to go *bass hit* *chest pop* *wave* *turn*" etc... And Highlight was made.

Dang…. Loved that they have the creative freedom to pursue those endeavors and artistry in that way! Love this so much! Thank you so much for sharing!

Seventeen has a very supportive staff/"behind-the-scenes" crew that has been with them since debut (even pre-debut for some) and mentored the more creative-inclined members until they were self-sufficient. 3 names that every Carat knows are : Bumzu (predebut vocal trainer turned main producer, used to be Woozi's producing mentor, now has a joint studio with him under which they produce all Seventeen tracks), Yoon Hyelim (predebut dance trainer turned creative director of all their performances after debut), Choi Youngjun (has choreographed 90% of their title tracks, very dedicated to SVT because they gave him his big break in his career, used to work closely with Hoshi for SVT's choreos but Hoshi got too busy as years passed)
