Poll Results (Pixiv Fanbox)

I'm calling this a bit early, because I'll be busy later and tomorrow, so figure I'd get it out of the way. Voting has slowed to a crawl anyway, and it also went up earlier than I was originally going to post it, so it balances out I say.

For this one, I don't plan to keep up the suspense and drag out the post to create artificial tension. Mainly just because I've been out of it the whole week, and I don't feel like mustering up the effort.

I'll start with the public poll this time, because it went up first. Less people voted on this one than the last, despite the post getting more traction than the last. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it has to do with the fact that there are 20 characters and requires voting on four of them. I call myself lazy, but there are admittedly some people out there who just can't be bothered. It's fine, I get it.

Regardless, the results are as following.

Iris takes the win, with Gentiana second. Trailing fairly far behind is Tamaki, and then a tie between the Commander and Kyrie. I may or may not have voted myself to get the tie. It's a secret. >_> Really, all I wanted was for Cindy not to get fourth. Partially because I'm not a huge fan, but also partially because of the results of the Supporter Poll.

But before I get to the supporter poll, some pointless analysis of the results. Fang got last place, which I kind of expected when I added her, but I'm a bit suprised out how much Kanna gained a lead on her. Kanna managed to hit the 100 vote mark, but Fang was still more than twenty out. With a result like that, it's somewhat surprising that she won that one poll, but then again that had a lot less voters and the competition wasn't quite as fierce.

Scarlet being that low, on the other hand, is somewhat surprising to me. Was expecting her to be a bit higher on the list. Certainly not to have tied with Miyoshino(although, imo, Miyoshino is definitely > Scarlet). Honoka being that low doesn't surprise me a ton - the costume isn't the best, and considering I only just recently did something with her, I probably haven't attracted a ton of her fans. I am a little surprised about NiCO, though. Could have seen her place higher, honestly.

Yuffie being that low, and being beaten out by the new remake OCs Nayo and Kyrie(yes, I know Kyrie existed before the remake) isn't actually that surprising to me. Might be for some, but based on the metrics of my posts about the three respective characters... yeah, Yuffie wasn't nearly as much of a hit. I know that the same "method" led me wrong with Aerith v Luna, but since it turned out to be the case this time I wasn't surprised any. Although, I can also see the costumes playing a slight role in it too.

Aranea I chalk up partially to the costume. My custom, shitty dress and fur isn't terribly interesting. Probably would have performed better if it was something more interesting than a party dress, but can't say for sure. Jihl was actually doing really well early on, but she kind of fell off after a certain point. Was rooting for her as well, but you win some you lose some. Y'shtola and Serah actually performed better than I was expecting, especially Serah. Lumina's costume isn't exactly the most interesting choice for her, nor does it scream "sexy", but she did surprisingly well. Better than Vanille, who definitely has the much sexier outfit. Momiji did pretty well too, which isn't a huge surprise to me considering she's a decently popular DOA character.

Cindy being that high up isn't that surprising to me. FFXV is popular among my audience, Cindy is arguably the most popular FFXV girl, was given a sexy and fitting costume, lacking in content from me, etc. I expected her to perform well, possibly even win a spot(and she nearly did). Commander doing that well warms my heart and restores my faith in mankind. Not really, but I wanted to throw something about mankind in there. As for Iris and Gentiana, they felt like no brainers to win after Luna's dominating performance last time.

Now, onto the supporter poll. Things aren't radically different, to be honest.

Nayo takes 3rd, and Cindy takes 4th. That was mainly why I was rooting against Cindy in the Public Poll. Two characters were already doubling up, and I wanted to maximize character variety instead of essentially doing a bunch of FFXV with guest appearances by Nayo and Tamaki(which is what it would have been for the first couple of days). Honestly very happy with the overall results. Between the two polls, it's Iris x2, Gentiana x2, Tamaki, Nayo, Kyrie, Commander, and Cindy. A really good line-up for my own personal tastes. If I had to choose one character I'd replace, it'd be Cindy with Jihl, but that's me. Regardless, for the 13 that didn't make the cut, they will all see something eventually. I'll either release a couple sets down the road where they all get their chance to shine, or I'll throw one or two of them in as bonuses with my normal stuff. Maybe a mixture of both? We'll see.

Public release of the supporter poll animations of Luna and Marie will be going up on the 8th as planned. There will be some bonus content in there, the content of which shall remain unknown. Until then, bye-bye.

P.S. I'm considering posting a Final Fantasy Girl "Tier List" sometime next week for giggles. Get your pitchforks and torches ready so you can adequetly flame my tastes.
