A shot from a recent shoot with the Royal Society for the Blind and a guide Dog litter. The wider angle group shots are the hardest to get detail in. Getting the background close to white is also difficult because it becomes a giant reflector creating glare and washing out contrast on the subjects. This litter was very pale and when masking them you often have to deal with a dark halo around the edge of the fur. I think I have mentioned before but I'm keen to try a green screen and see if it makes edge detection much easier.
Additionally do you know how hard it is to keep 8 puppies in place to get a shot like this?
