Hello beautiful people!

To say this hasn't been a good year would be an understatement. On Thursday September 9th I had left the dentist feeling light headed and a bit off balance. Being the complete idiot I am I thought I'd sleep that off and woke a few hours later unable to feel my right side. Only then did it occur to any of us something MIGHT be wrong.

Let this be a lesson to educate yourself on learning to spot signs of true danger. It doesn't help what a joke America makes healthcare. You learn to fear the bill more than your sickness.

So long story short; we rushed to the hospital where I was diagnosed with having a stroke due to a combo of diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. I honestly never suspected I HAD diabetes, and this could have been a ticking time bomb for years now. Thankfully it was just a very small stroke with only a tiny bit of my brain dying. Over 28 tests were done finding no clots or hiding things that might strike me later. Unfortunately the stay took over 5 days with a lot of tech guys running the equipment being off for the weekend. It left me both a physical and emotional wreck where I couldn't even have visitors thanks to covid.

I'm expected to make a full recovery after having a few days back at home and a follow up check in with my new personal care doctor. My right arm and leg have been gaining back their strength but it's a very slow process. I'm working on light exercises to help speed up the process. Also I'm currently on a strict carb and sodium diet, which has left me with quite a headache as my body adjusts to less sugar but also lost 14 pounds already. Mixed blessings!

Due to this Patreon charges will be skipped for October. I still want to create personal works and commissions but it's a slow and energy draining process with my main hand feeling like dead weight, so I probably won't be able to post any offers for the rest of September. I am trying to adjust myself with voice to text dictation in the meantime.

Under the encouragement of friends I also set up a ko-fi in case anyone would still like to support me. I've already spent a good chunk restocking the pantry with diabetic friendly foods, equipment, and insulin. Hopefully the insurance my part time gives me will deduct a decent chunk of the hospital bill.

I'm not in a financially crippled state, so don't worry too much about it! As long as I can get back to work by the start of October I'll manage just fine.

Be safe and I love you all!
