I think the song that represents Nigel's origin story the most is "Gollum's Song" (by Emiliana Torrini) from The Two Towers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4Jmg3F0gL8 The song doesn't match 100% because sometimes Gollum refers to himself as "we" which Nigel doesn't, but other than that detail everything fits and really describes well the tragic downward spiral that Nigel went through…
