I don't know that this is a love story. But it's definitely a story about connection. I really love how gentle he is, and how *massive* he is in comparison to her in that middle panel. Yeah, he's impressed her, and even with every single opportunity he's given her to be dissuaded, she utterly refused to be and I love it.
