And here it is! The finished demo of the Macroxxie fight, with all of her grabs, KOs, and sounds thereof! I think it should relatively bug free, as I've fixed the bugs from last time, not really changed much, and done my share of testing, but as always let me know if there are any issues and I'll get them fixed up.

I hope you all enjoy!

P.S. If you have issues running the game, try going to the 'options' file in the game folder and changing some of the 0s to 1s. People have reported some success with that.

After playing through this fight a few times I think it's really well made! Sure it's absolutely brutal at first but literally every move is telegraphed well and the extra lives help to make sure that you get a grasp of the next set of moves before probably dying! I really like how clean all of the moves feel I beat her 5 times now and there was not a single time I felt like I was hit by a move that I think should've missed. April's timing with the tnt feels pretty good though and she's a helpful indicator of when you have a chance to actually do damage! The tnt can be just a bit frustrating to move around I spent awhile on the first part of the fight just moving it around trying to get a better feel for to move it! It's just a bit clunky, but I can't really imagine how else it could function. Though being unable to move the tnt while squished can be annoying mainly during the first phase! I do find it a bit strange that getting blown up by the tnt doesn't harm Texas in anyway whatsoever! The best strategy I found for making sure I get through the first tnt phase was just to face tank the tnt blast to make sure I had enough time to get it to Roxxie's face! I do really like that moving of the tnt is done by Roxxie in the next two phases that mitigates a lot of annoyance on the harder phases! I really like the whole insta-death aspect of this uping the stakes for the final fight feels good, but I'm not a fan of how safe the center of the map is! In the first two phases you really can get away with moving just slightly around the center of the map without any real risk. The second phase does make it just slighlty harder to stay in the middle, but Roxxie hopping across the stage is so well telegraphed that just moving a few steps up or down is more than enough to evade it I think a grab attack that aims directly to the center would make the first two phases more than just dancing circles around the center until tnt comes! Another thing regarding the difficulty I'm personally not a fan of is when Texas recieves the non lethal sqush under most circumstances I found that it wasn't even that big of a problem unless being squished forces you to miss-out on a tnt opportunity! That can be a bit frustrating, but I think that frustration is acceptable because it makes the non-lethal squish more threatening. I think that the squish effect should either last longer or slow Texas down more, maybe even just half hit texas so being squished feels more directly impactful instead of only impactful if it makes you miss a tnt phase!! it's a bit sad that the signature lasso and kick don't have any use but it makes sense against a living skycraper! All of that being sad I think you've done an incredibly good job here! Taking Trouble in Texas and managing to make a three phase fight against a macro boss to finsih it off must've been incredibly difficult! I would like to note that my complaints above didn't ruin my experince by any means they're just the few things that keep the fight from being perfect in my eyes, and I'm beyond excited for the final release so I can get the long awaited reunion of the Sheriff and her deputy!

Ah! Thank you so much! ^^ I'm very glad you enjoyed it despite the frustrations. The TNT movement was such a tricky bit of code I sadly just had to leave it as 'functional' in the end. I had plans to be able to lasso it and such, but it was just an absolute nightmare to get working. Really this whole fight was one big experiment to see if I could mix things up for the final boss, so I'm glad it seems to be going over well, on the whole. I *might* be able to get the final release done before Christmas, with a bit of luck, but then again, this final release won't be the FINAL final release, as I still have a secret bossfight to work on...

Testam

Compared to the earlier content, seeing a lot of growth in this fight, in more ways than 1 that is. The one thing about this I could say is that, I can't be the only one having trouble with the tail slams throwing Texas into the air, right? I saw on other comments that it's always fixed, but considering how long it takes to get to that attack, I think that combined with how fast they are makes them feel very unforgiving and by that I mean, more so than any other attack I've seen from Macroxxie, because if you get that, then the fight felt practically over to me. Still, aside from that, kudos for the success of this boss fight! From the framing in the center, there's a lot of clarity going on in this fight and it all feels like it came together pretty well to me.
