Dragonball Super - Golden Age - ToP - Universe 7 Team [Sketch] (Patreon)

Well... people have asked for what my Universe 7 team for my Golden Age timeline story is... so here they are in all their glory. My followers and fans can probably tell who each participant is from left to right, but just in case, I added their names to the sketch above.

Each member shown has an excuse to be on the team or not. Gohan, Zangya and Piccolo wanted to get members who were not only strong enough to stand with the most powerful members in the multiverse, but also warriors who were experienced and skilled in the arts.

Gohan is team leader and strongest member of Universe 7.

Zangya, as Gohan's partner and wife, is an easy number two pick and doesn't hesitate to volunteer.

Vegeta is an easy third pick, sharing second place with Zangya as one of the strongest members of the Z-fighters.

Piccolo is vice captain of the team, and comes in sporting his new look.

Krillin and Eighteen go along with the group, with Gohan convincing his father's best friend to join due to his experience over the years and participation in multiple other tournaments. A similar arc that occurs in Super takes place with Krillin getting his mojo back.

And yes, before anyone asks, Reina does get quite tall when she reaches adulthood, matching even Gohan and Piccolo in stature. Her name came up after Tien joined and Master Roshi turned Gohan down- the hermit convincing the hybrid to bring Reina into the team due to her being part of the new generation to carry on the legacy of martial arts, and that her skills would prove to be incredibly valuable (which they are.)

Wanting to make sure the entire universe has a stake in the competition, Gohan also recruits their newly found ally prince Cooler- who currently controls the Planet Trade Organization in his brother's and father's absence as a just and fair Emperor. He also works for Beerus as one of his agents of Destruction.

Finally, Celipa is pregnant and can't join. Videl is looking after the babies, but also keeping guard of the planet in everyone's absence. The Astral Witches are forbidden from joining due to their neutrality. Yamcha obviously declines to join due to rusty skills. Android 17 was considered to fill in the last spot, but he also declines due to family commitments. Android 21, who is working for Capsule Corp on a new project, suggests Gohan bring in Cell- whose collection of martial arts genes, intelligence, and abilities, would give the Z-fighters the edge they would need to win. Obviously this is something Gohan is hesitant to do, but he relents and approaches Baba to give Cell a temporary visa.

Conflict predictably ensues between Gohan and Cell, but also presents an opportunity for more character growth between the two, as they have to put aside their past histories for the future of their universe and a deal is inevitably struck.
