Btw because the Auction House belongs to Doflamingo the Government and Navy didn't do anything against it cause he is a warlord, just to give you a little more of Oda's excellence. And I fucking love Doflamingo's Voice Actor, Law's as well btw (aka. Levi)!!!

Laws Room Ability allows him to be god in that particular room. he can do anything he wants in there.

One of the really cool things about these episodes in particular is it's the first time that we really see Luffy able to compare himself to his peers -- both his new rivals Kid and Law, and Rayleigh, Roger's right hand man. It's the first time when it really becomes clear how far he is from the top of the pirate world, and how there are other rookies who are at his level or catching up. It's also funny to see him confronted with the fact that, yeah, being able to stretch yourself like rubber is a pretty weird power! lol We've seen Luffy take down warlords and marines and CP-0. He's beaten everyone who's stood in his way. But this is really where Luffy's place in the One Piece world becomes a lot more clarified -- and he's a long way still from being the Pirate King.

Folks probably already gave you a heads up, but I highly recommend splitting up the next 6 episodes into 400-402 and 403-405. If your schedule is such that you can only do 2 next time, 400 and 401, I recommend keeping 402-405 together.

Ohhhhh, still so excited for what's coming! On Law, his hat is spotted seal print, not cow print. His crew has a whole 'arctic explorer' vibe going to it. As to his power.... yeah just wait, it's one of the oddest ones in the series and hard to properly sum up. Just keep in mind his title is 'Surgeon of Death'. Kidd's power, you've pretty much figured out. Though it does have the honor of being one time when the phrase 'Oda never forgets' did not apply. We only recently learned the name of his Devil Fruit via a question in one of the print volume Q&A's. Everyone thought it was weird we hadn't had it revealed yet, assuming there would be some twist about it that it needed to stay hidden till the big reveal.... nope, Oda just forgot he hadn't revealed it yet. Oh, speaking of the Man, Oda was setting up Haki long, long before even the Whitebeard and Shanks scene, look alllll the way back to the very start when Shanks scared off that Sea King who almost ate Luffy. And yes, Bepo is awesome!

I didn't know who Trent was but holy shit he's a spitting image of Law. Or the other way around. But iirc Law's design was inspired by road racer Valentino Rossi, and character by pirate Edward Low. Don't quote me on either of those facts tho.

Luffy is not a hero nor is he even trying to right all the injustices he sees. he literally left all those people to be sold as slaves at the other auction house, He only gets truly upset when his friends are hurt. also you've seen Rayleigh before in episode 8. and also all the people from sky island and even the Shandorans all had wings like that it wasnt just specific to the priests.

Urouge's wings have an different form from Skypians. All natural Inhabitants of Skypia have an distinct form of wings. Urouge's are more similar to the High Priests of Enel - sky-people of Birka. But - yes - it was never specified and we know not nor have seen any other Sky-Islands than Skypia and Birka (a handfull of frames).

i think they said somewhere in his introductory text when we first see him; yes, urouge is from a sky island :) probably not skypea though...but yeah, i think its very cool to see a sky..person? down on the blue sea, so oda can remind you that yes, those people still exist and he didnt just mkae them up for one arc and then forgot about their existence :D

also, did you see? that one marine dude who was talking to sengoku was like "oh the pirates were at the human auction ho- i mean, employment office" like EW thats so fucking shady of the marines and sengoku in particular ugh.

To understand the level of Doflamingo's arrogance and Oda's foreshadowing, go back to episode 151 (IIRC) when Doflamingo told Sengoku that his "business" was doing so good he could make the meeting.
