I would be really happy if you started Overlord as a main now that season 4 is around the corner too! This is a show that gets better and better, even tho the author said It would probably end around 20 Volumes (now at 15). Meaning like max max 10 seasons. And its Mad House who also made Death Note and first season of One Punch Man + some other shows. I think they have a good eye for special shows that has potential.

Also this show is very political and has great world building, kinda like One Piece is fleshed out. I feel sometimes it's like these in-between-arcs in One Piece episodes where you get world building and info-drops

Maybe as you get older you start looking for the good stories and appreciate the author's more, you start to forget about the genre, as long as it is good? I feel that way at least. Never liked Sci-Fi but recently I can appreciate it anyway for it's writing. World-building has become my favorite for sure tho, the last 10 years. Also, this strongly fit into the Dark Fantasy genre I really like. Like Berserk and Dark Souls.
