Julian James Wilde - Finally (Patreon)

My Portland trip would not be complete if I did not check this one off the bucket list. Julian Wilde is a well known photographer here, the kingpin of beauty and glamour in the Pacific Northwest, in my opinion. Someone once told me he only likes to shoot 6' Blondes... so I was hesitant to ask him if he wanted to shoot me.

I befriended him on FB and started stalking him, obsessing over the luxurious architechture, lighting and styling. I finally contacted him and booked a shoot! Once in the studio, I was pleasantly surprised by his friendly nature and positive attitude. Raven, his wife and official MUA/ Stylist was charming as well.

He took me into his wonderland, sat me down on the couch, and gave me the history of his beautiful studio. Julian built the place himself, he put the architechture in the walls, and Raven re-upholsters the furniture and accessories too. They love style, they have a passion for excellence in their world, and they are oozing SO MUCH with a lust for creativity that I felt intoxicated!

Once my nerves calmed down and I felt like myself again, I finished showing the new outfits I bought just for this occasion, and the magic began! We shot a concept until we got "THE SHOT" then moved on to a new lighting/ location concept. Julian is a master at lighting setups, and I am pretty efficient in my posing and expressions, so together we shot a TON of amazing images!

I am so happy I got over my insecurities and finally made this shoot happen, I definitely want to work with him again next time I come down!
