I worked a lot on The odds were never in my favour this month, thus I have decided the chapter 83 will be updated here ahead of schedule, before I begin on The Weaver Option Sunday or Monday.

Enjoy!

Good chapter but minor continuity error regarding the status of the werewolves as it's been implied (and I think reservations where mentioned) that there are still some werewolves in the isles. I think my main difficulty with this chapter though is Ra, I get that he's meant to have a short fuse and be zealous but suggestions like getting the Army of the Light to kill Alexandra in Hogwarts just makes him come off as stupid to me.

Nicholas

Alexandra is in some sense magic recognizes the heir of Alexander the Great! That answers so many questions and explains so much. I'm assuming that his empire was much larger then our history books say and that its name was Britania. It also puts Lily in a much worse light since the name she gave her daughter proves she was planning this even before Alexandra's birth.

Anonymous

Why? She's their enemy, with a divine quest to kill them all - nice rewards, too. He sees clearly, unlike the faltering Dumb-as-a-door.

Lily didn't necessarily know about the relationship to Alexander and we've seen from her POV that she definitely didn't plan all of this. But yeah that relationship is certainly interesting and promises great and terrible things for the future.

Remember we have never seen a sane James Potter. All we know is that the army of light got their hands on him and we know how extreme they go out of their way to get what they want. Break a wizards mind to get the info they need, they do that in a heart beat. Also thinking back on that night how did a power dark creature as a succubus get through the potter wards? With a known death eater? Could Lily invite them in though the ward? A easy answer however I disagree with that as vampire coven appeared to come to the rescue and succubus are a monster with the power to charm people. No I choose the smiple option Lily turned them off. The evil organzation seems way too spotless for me. I think that Lilys revival method was "lost" on perpose. I betting the deeper you go the eviler it gets.

I am happy to discover this fic. I am having a blast with both Weaver and Alexandra. Thanks, Anthony444.

Wonderful chapter, nice to see the further contrast between Ra and Dumbledore.

Nicholas

I'm pretty sure they were lost on purpose. According to Chapter 58 Lily's Mistress Knight Recruiter pushed for her resurrection a decade ago. She wouldn't have done that if she couldn't do it.

Great chapter and can’t wait for more, Also I’m surprised that Hermione could be dragged away from the 1,500 plus year old library Alexandra has now. I mean I would assume that the inner circle would be each assigned or pick a book to read over and learn to provide them edges and tricks that maybe only a handful of people on the planet would recognize and maybe be able to counter. I mean could you imagine what The terrible duo plus Alexandra could do with spells, runes and other magical nohow that is lost to the world. The gadgets made for fighting would overnight become nigh unstoppable from being blocked due to the knowledge not being there. Can’t wait for more and keep up the great work and stop teasing us with the dreadnaughts lol I so badly want to see what they are capable of and the reaction of the Big players to this curveball from the deep. Like I imagine that the Exchequre would at least be impressed more than angry white La Fey being proud more than anything lol

Also the thought that the Light hated elder dragons like Nidhogg so much was because they didn’t want to pay back their loans is very funny to me and on point for magical society. “We don’t wanna pay you back for the money we borrowed so we’re gonna start a war of extinction now, ok? Ok.”

Bel

I really enjoyed this chapter. I don't think we got a solid description of what his Counsel Clause actually DID. There were some descriptions of how people reacted but not really a description of what he actually did with it. The talk with Nidhogg was interesting, especially Dumbledore being reminded that Ra has committed a few atrocities in the past. He doesn't believe them now, but he might very well in the future. The link with Alexander was interesting, and I can't wait to see how that is expanded.

Yeah, for all Dumbledore's often very hypocritical behaviour, he has not grown detached from local politics (logical, since a lot of his influence and power depends on it).

This chapter was amazing, you did a great job of giving Nidhhog a presence, such as how merely being in his presence strains Alexandra’s barriers. I kinda want to hear more about Mordred, she seems like and interesting character. Also confirmation that magic has waned in the 1500 years of imbalance, or possibly because of the destruction and hiding away of so much magical life? I’m getting major Fate vibes, not just because of genderswapped Arthurian legend, but in how dragons are primordial magical creatures that literally exhale magic to the point that it is dangerous to be in their presence. I’m looking forward to seeing how this story continues, though I am curious as to how Alexandra plans to release him without rendering Hogwarts magically inert or destroyed. Depending on which version of the myth you go by, the Fae were prevalent in the older Arthurian mythos, are they going to show up at some point or are there already too many factions in play?

The Consul Clause as I understand it is basically a licence to do whatever Fudge wants. I'm not sure if her actually got to enact the clause.

One thing I noticed that I couldn't find an earlier explanation for: how did Alexandra know Niddhogg's name? The only explanation I could come up with was the Morrigan. The Exiled had deduced the presence of an ancient dragon previously, but there's no other way they should have known the name.
