Chapter 8 of the An Impractical Guide to the Force series.

Unlike the others, this chapter isn't based on the movies, since it is an AU galaxy, and no Dread Emperor/Dread Empress is present...though that doesn't mean a certain bad guy isn't.

Excellent chapter it's weird for me but I'm actually kind of agreeing with Palatine here (here's to him being practical evil rather than the stupid evil of the film's) it's an old question which has always been fun to debate. Is a rotten democracy better than a strong and righteous Authoritarian nation. Is democracy worth fighting for simply because it is democracy even if this system is causing a lot of the problems. It's an interesting question and one I don't think people will ever really agree on the answer of. Kind of wish we could see more of this to be honest but I shall wait with eager anticipation for the next one instead.

Indeed. That's why I enjoy particularly Legends of the Galactic Heroes, since it is very much a question at the core of the story. And yes, this is an important debate I doubt which will really be settled by Mankind. Thanks for the support.

I'm afraid that for now I haven't the motivation and the hours to begin a Star Wars fanfic where I would irremediably break canon and do it justice. I would have to put one or two current stories on hiatus for sure. I have plans, but for the moment, they remain exactly that, plans.
