The Chapter 3 of A Practical Guide to Galactic Domination.

It is likely going to be the last for a while; I have Ovation 2.1 to plan for, in addition to...let's shall say studying possibilities now that day after day the staff in charge of fanfiction.net continues to disappoint.

I will certainly post my decisions on certain websites by Sunday, hopefully accompanied by a teaser if writing has progressed well on that front.

You go girl! Also with Jacen Solo/Darth Caedus, we're almost definitely going to see the Legends version of the New Jedi Order, which is just way better. On the other hand... it looks like Jacen has been reduced to a Kylo Ren expy which is very disappointing. Jacen Solo, even as a villain, was nuanced and didn't just walk around committing genocide while yelling the sith code. Everything he did came right out of Kylo Ren's handbook and that guy sucks. That said, we've seen like 10 seconds of him, so there may very well be nuance we just haven't seen yet. And it has been many years since I read the books with Darth Caedus, so I may be white-washing him in my memory. And even with that, I'm still excited as heck to see more Catherine shenanigans in Star Wars.

In case you can't tell, I'm actually a fan of Caedus (in that I like him as a character, not that I approve of a lot of the stuff he did). Interestingly in terms of fighting power, he was kind of "eh." He was above a skilled Jedi Master in power, but not by a lot and he was absolutely inferior to Luke. What made him dangerous was his intelligence, skill as a battle commander (when he wasn't letting his feelings get in the way), and his battle meditation.

Ah, some of the genre conventions are serving her well. One minor concern I have is you might want to be a bit careful with how 'take that' you're being at the source setting. I mean they are very well deserved jabs, and even the movie described troopers as more effective than they acted, but still. I'm also guessing that the standard trooper armor serves a purpose other than intimidation in this setting as well. And we get our force sorcerer duel. Catherine is going to be a bit getting used to how magic works in this setting I can see.

Ooh Caedus huh? Does that mean you are also bringing in Kratye and Talon into the mix? You did say One Sith and that means Krayte in my mind. Though Lumiya would also be fun. Also hope the Luke is different, and is Mara Jade a part of this as well?

Don't forget that Catherine was 'raised' (for lack of a better word) in a world where stories are history made flesh. So for her these 'problems' are more or less to be expected, even if they really shouldn't. And of course yeah, Catherine is far, far from perfect. Most of the galaxy is completely foreign territory, she has only heard about the Republic and the Empire what smugglers and old database gave her. She is hardly the most knowledgeable character, and what she knows suffer from heavy bias.

My lips are closed (grin). Luke Skywalker is not the canon Disney one to be sure (remark I didn't say Finn and Poe had the location to find the Jedi Master) and Mara Jade exists, though I won't say more than that.
