I promised more maps, so here's one before this rainy month of September ends.

The capital of the Quadrant is in violet, Nyx is in red. The Sectors in gold are dominated by the Ecclesiarchy (a Cardinal is the Sector Lord/Lady), the Secotrs in pale blue are theoretically independant, but in practise they're financially vassals of Samarkand. The green lines are the connections to outside the Quadrant.

Otherwise, I have reached 20 000 words in Ovation 9.1, I should need another week or so to complete it.

Um Antony considering we have been talking about video games recently, have you ever heard of Stellaris it’s a 4x strategy Space game. You could with a couple of mods and console commands create the Nyx sector with a mod for changing the Hyperspace routes and a mod to spawn in systems and Planets.

Jeremy

So looks at this map - Taylor does not have a contiguous domain? Or am I remembering Brockton being a sector.

Dudeman

Brockton is the System of the Nyx Sector the Death Star was located in. It's in the Smilodon Trench Sub-Sector, and can be seen in the map for that sub-sector Antony posted previously.

So, when did September become rainy December?

Antony444

It's difficult to make any generalities for several dozens planets, but on average poorer than Nyx was before this story began, and more isolationist, since the big players of the Quadrant generally ignore them.

Antony444

I know of the game, but I've never played it (since I've not bought it, I find that normal). There were some readers of Let the Galaxy Burn who made galactic maps of it, if my memory is not playing me tricks.

Antony444

No idea, sometimes I don't check word for word what I've written, and things like this get out...though the last days are very autumn, we aren't quite in full winter mode...yet.

only 2½ hour to the great debate, besides that if i guess you are saying the next update is NOT 50 000 + words?

Nicholas

Thank you! It looks like the Samarkand Quadrant is on the boarder of the Imperium. I only see two connections to other Quadrants. That opens some interesting story possibilities and some options for Taylor's new Rogue Traders.

Antony444

The next update shouldn't be 50 000 words. I think. At least it wasn't the plan. But my characters have a tendency to inspire me to write walls of chapter, and there are things in Ovation I must write otherwise the ground won't be properly prepared for the next campaign.

Antony444

Yes. Of course said Rogue Traders have already a lot of things on their plate.

Boris Michenski

Can we hope to see another teaser soon? (I'm really ashamed to ask)

Matthew Moore

The teasers are usually weekly so tomorrow or the day after would be a good bet.

Forgottenone

Quick, question would any of these sectors not be here if She-Who-Thirst was still alive? Or would it just be counted in worlds?

Antony444

No, all the Sectors were here before the Mark of Commorragh. Some may have more planets than they should have, but they were all already there. It's very rare for the Ruinous Powers to manage to sinka whole Sector in a Warp Storm.
