So it was promised, and so it has come. The first teaser of Interlude 2, Victory Councils, is here!

Obviously with 10 POVs and 10 000+ words, it is...a big teaser. And to say it's only 20% of the POVs I want to write...(sigh as he knows deep inside this Interlude is going to be another monstrous wall of text bigger than some novels).

What's more to say? Ah yes. WAAAGH!

thx for the words love them as always will be interesting to see what dennis's fleet will look like wonder if leet can build a noise cancelling device and what side effect's it will have

Rockinalice

You have all our blessing and prayers to give you the energy to make it throu this chapter

May the God-Emperor of Mankind look favorably upon your day...

Boris Michenski

WAAGH! But you be better asking for Emperor's grace. Imperial's works tend to last longer )) So, what do we have? Orks are forgetting about Tigrus and aiming for Nyx... well, I suspect there would be many to properly wellcome them. Eldars are trying to get their shit together... it's probably even preferable to do nothing tountogether their shit. Power of Lisa's unCorruption is showing. Chaos is plotting but is taking his time... And Leet finally did exahaust all of Taylor's Good Will. Well done man.

Garfield Loken?

Guilherme Bezerra

Thxs for the update. I always enjoy a morning beginning with one. And now we have orks on the way! But who is Amon Harakht? New Phoenix lord?

Anonymous

Huh, Freya's alive. That's a nice surprise. She might have been a bit of a Noble bitch, but I enjoyed the byplay between her and the other pilot, Nils, I think his name was. I assume we're going to learn why she earned a Lion without dying, because I cannot for the life of me remember anything deserving of it.

Anonymous

Considering her rank, the lowest of the primus condecorations by a wide margin, the fact that she no longer considered a hundred victories even worth mentioning and her injuries I expect her to be the greatest surviving ace of the Aeronautica with at least 500 victories and that she is partly receiving the award in the name of all the sacrifices of all of the Caribbean aerial units.

Aconitum

Teasers can't be too big !!! But if you feel better, then publish a second xD I don't think there is anyone who would mind ^^ Otherwise I'm really excited about the next update, which will hopefully contain a conversation between Taylor and Dragon ^^ Love this Story :)

shame none of the mundane human recipients of the star of terra survived. Loving the new Templar Sororitas

Nicholas

Thank you! I agree with Domenic E teasers can't be too big!! I do wonder about the appearance of Dorn's sons in such strength. As a literary device it worked beautifully but I wonder about its realism. It seems either there are over 400 chapters of them in the Imperium, they were very much concentrated near Pavia for an unknown reason, or this is a case of emotional impact taking precedence over realism. Thanks again!!

It's wh40k. Rule of cool and the warp runs on literary devices

Love this story and can’t wait for more. Hope that Leets adventures with the squats gets updates sporadically cause that is no doubt gonna be a barrel of laughs each time. Hope u keep on updating )

Antony444

Yep. Unfortunately, it's very much the kind of award you rarely survive to brag about (and those who survive tend to be mentally scarred by what they've done).

Antony444

Unfortunately, I've updated here what I had written until this morning, so a second 'teaser' will have to wait for a bit...

Qvantum

Long live Antony444, Long live the Emperor. Thank you for this

Confused

Well done as always can't wait for the full chapter.

Poor Brunhilda.... life was so much simpler when you just had to purge xenos.

Forgottenone

Well, that was a nice chapter erm teaser? Chaos as a whole needs to attack Weaver now, too bad they have rat problems now. Interesting 20th point of view and I cannot wait till we get to see a chat with BIG E! Great story as always!

Vortiboy27

I love it, but I wonder why Taylor would make Constantinople a Shrine world? Didnt she say she wouldnt give the Ecclesiarchy an entire world to waste?

Vortiboy27

Also, before I forget, I would have loved to see byplay between the Imperial Fists and the White Scars since its the former's father rescuing the latter's.

Silver Wolf

Out of curiosity wasn’t Khorne the first of the four then Tzeentch or was Tzeentch not a chaos god at first and only came into the role after Khorne manifested? Also what’s the Emperor’s opinion on Omega?

Kevin Choi

Looking forward to getting back to Nyx and having Taylor build an efficiently working empire.

primus

Is Omegon renegade? My understanding from the teaser is that he doesn't support Chaos, but wouldn't be welcomed by the Imperium either.

Brett Tamahori

Praise the God Emperor! Praise the Omnissiah! Well that's a major change in tone from Aurelia, and one for the better. It also looks like the Emperor managed an even bigger trick thatn just killing Slanesh, but broke the entire Chaos System to a degree. I'm quite impressed. That the Weaverian Pilgrimage got created is hardly a shock, though it's funny to think how various people from Worm would have reacted to this. If Constantinople is like it's described here, I think Taylor would be quite happy with that as part of her legacy. Seven Stars of Terror, and only one of them to somebody still alive. The latter isn't a surprise, I expect most people don't survive the kind of thing that earns the Star, but I expect seven is quite a lot for one, admittedly very large, battle. Huh, Freya got a Lion, sounds like her perspective of things was downplaying stuff, though she may have gotten it for being one of very few survivors with that kind of kill count. Ah, and now we get to see what being a Peer is. While I do believe Taylor did earn this, I'm pretty sure the two main reasons this was given to her are because Emps wants to make it very clear that he approves of her, and secondly to give her as much freedom to work as possible. She gets shit done and more importantly is changing things for the better, so the more room she has to work the better. Um Erebus, that will not be enough. All you're going to do is give her guards more practice. Ah, it was about time the Orks dealt themselves back into this, and Gork and Mork really don't like anyone upstaging them. I wonder if any Ork is going to reach Endbringer status. WAAAAAGGH! I'm pretty sure the only kind of art Kratos does is on the battlefield, which doesn't really disprove the barbarian theory. Holy fuck ... leaving aside the two Glorianas in one place, which must be the first time in a while, I think that system now has more battle barges and space marines in general than any other point in the galaxy. While I get why they all want to show up, especially the sons of Dorn, I dread to think of the hole this is putting in the Imperium's defenses elsewhere. Though you kinda want to see a demon force show up to get Weaver or a medium sized Waaargh just for the comedy of how fast that many Marines would ROTFLstomp them. It's hard being Eldrad Ulthran sometimes, but I don't think he has regrets. Looks like the new coalition is about to get a population boost, if a somewhat odd one. It says something here that there are enough they have to spread them across several Craftworlds. Craftworlds are big, and I have the feeling they have been dropping in population for a long time, so I expect they tend to have free space, even if takes time to spin the life support back up again. That this is easily overflowing the spare capacity of several of them says a lot. Oh yeah, this is before the Nids showed up, so before Iyanden got flattened. At least back then they were still more on the Biel-Tan, empire building, side of things. Sure, in the 'modern' era of 40K they are probably the Craftworld that's had humility beaten into them to the point where they have learned about the concept of diplomacy, but this is still the old Iyanden. I really hope what happened to Slanesh and Eldrad's best efforts can get them to see which way things are going. I don't want to see the result of them trying ot help Biel-Tan. I think the Eldar are colossal fuck-ups but some of them are doing something to make their species worthwhile and right now Aurelia and Eldrad are at the heart of that. If they can get Iyanden on-side you might be looking at an Eldar that doesn't suck balls, and as an elf fan I'd like to see them really being worth liking for a change. I'm glad to see the main focus when it comes to Biel-Tan is make sure to not visibly support them in anyway way, and get as many civilians and children out as possible. I'm not sure if they can evacuate the Infinity Circlet, it's pretty much the structure of the craft world as I recall, and I think the only future of Biel-Tan is either an expanding cloud of plasma or being torn apart by Tech Priests. Brunhilda is a simple woman with simple goals in life. Spreading the word and love of the God Emperor to the many people of the galaxy, teaching peace and love for all! And killing heretics and xenos, just try to fucking stop her. Sadly Weaver has plans for her. I see the difference between the Templar Sororitas and the Frateris Templar now. The Sororitas, like the Space Marines, will ultimately be limited, and not capable of taking over entire sub-sectors if their religious leaders get "ideas". Though for that also much more intense. I don't think Taylor realises quite yet just how much faith will make up for transhuman upgrades, because I don't see this version of the Sororitas being any worse at on the fly miracles than the canon version. Nothing in the meeting of the sons of Dorn is too much of a surprise, though I can see a lot of 'obeying the word not the spirit, and not even the word all that well' going on here. That's not much of a surprise either. Of course the Dawnbreaker Guard are about to get another upgrade, and I have no idea what rewards Lady Weaver will get but it's going to be at least somewhat insane. Abaddon is showing that he's the calm thinking sensible person he'd need to really be to get and hold his position. Weaver is a huge problem, but not one he can do anything about. The big thing here is that the Astronomican can now reach anywhere it feels like, given time. I get the impression from this it isn't lighting up the entire Eye, but it can move around to light parts up so there is nowhere they can be sure won't get a sudden case of THE HOLY LIGHT OF THE EMPEROR in the face. And this is before they upgrade the Astronomican, this was just because The Emperor isn't having to hold the gate in his basement shut anymore. It's not a good day to be Chaos. Oh, so the Alpha Legion still have a Primarch, and from the sound of it one that might not have fallen to Chaos as much as he's fallen in other ways. They also have plans for bacta, but are going to have to wait for somebody to get it working on psykers. The good news for Omegon is that I think psyker safe bacta is high on Weaver's priority list, and I'm not willing to be against a determined Alpha Legion getting their hands on some when it does exist. Meanwhile things sound like they are about to get even weirder for some people, and worse for the Emperor's Children. Gabriela is finding that you do not troll Lady Weaver and win, but it looks like things are going well there. I'm honestly happy for her, and hope it works out with her and Denise. The important thing takeaway here though is that Pierre and his Tricorn are eternal. Though I wonder if he may need to get one built out of adamantium and welded to his hull just so it doesn't burn off the first time somebody hits him with a flamer. Look, Pierre and his Tricorn and Pierre in general are a joke that has not gotten old for me yet. Oh gods, Leet. Yeah, that went about as well for Leet as I was expecting, and I don't feel even a little bit sorry for the little shit. You continue to a machine, obviously some creation of the Silent King created for the sole purpose of writing amazing fanfic and allowed to escape to Earth (non Holy Terra edition).

Antony444

To be honest, the rat problems aren't that bad now. The major issues are pulverising the defences of the Imperium with no coalition while they're at their maximum and attacking a target at the end of an impossibly long supply line.

Antony444

It is her world, and to be honest, after a few conversations, she realised there was zero chance to prevent it from being a Shrine World...too many miracles in too little time.

Antony444

It's a bit iffy, as the records of the War in Heaven aren't that clear. And of course what an Eldar says is the truth...from a certain point of view. Omegon I think you mean...the Emperor is very, very disappointed he fell for the lies of Eldar and other xenos.

Antony444

He is, he is. And it's a very bad position to be, as both the Imperium and Chaos wants you dead, and your pool of allies is really reduced...

Antony444

There will be some...I think. I can't write everything which happens around, even for Pavia there's a lot of things happening.

Is Kratos view of Taylor - „Sanguinius reborn“ shared amongst the ranks of the Blood Angels or is it limited to him and a few others? Also I can’t wait for the Favius Bile Interlude, that Antony444 has been teasing since the first interlude. Here‘s hoping that Melusine survived the death of Slaanesh.

Vega

I’m sorry Antony I am no longer rooting for the humans, the orks are just to amazing! Jkjk, enjoyed the chapter length teaser and can’t wait for more!

Antony444

For some Blood Angels and Successors Space Marines yes, but many of the Blood simply regard her as a new figure of authority worthy of their respect and their weapons. As for Fabius Bile, I will write it never fear...though it is likely going to be very deranging stuff.

Aconitum

Hmm, I think I've read your story now for the fourth time and I always find something new ^^ In one chapter, Trazyn calls the Emperor an "old friend". Was that just for illustration or will it play a role later?

Boris Michenski

Well, Trazyn call many peoples friends, Vulcan also got this doubfull honor. Apparently he did stole somthing very important even before the formation of the Imperium. More over, Capitain General seems to know him and harbor some... hostility, which probably mean Collector did visit Terra and Imperial Palace.

Confused

Rereading this I can't help but fear the day when Taylor decides to go on a true sector level crusade. Cause not only will the target be massive multi-world campaign that is expected of such crusades but it would be another massive escalation for said queen of escalation. And that's before a third party throws themselves into the ring as well. Only good news for when this happens(Not if we all know it's going to happen and probably take an arc or three to talk about) she will have a massive Army/Fleet force to command with massive mechanicas, space marine, and other support for such an endevour.

Anonymous

While re-reading this teaser I just had the idea that it would be absolutely hilarious and fitting for Taylor to find out about the Silent Kings return through Trazyn just showing up and promising everything he has from the DAOT if she protects him and/or deals with the king. Just imagining Trazyn running around like a kid whose parents just pulled into the driveway after they broke the tv has gotten me rolling in laughter.

Antony444

Hilarious yeah...and also dramatic for the galaxy as a whole because the moment Szarekh is back is also the signal ALL the Necrons Dynasties having survived the Great Sleep are awakening. So while the POV would be funny, billions of Imperial and xenos are going to die shortly after...

Regan

Very nice!

I'm really looking forward to these Emperor interludes. Always nice to see him planning.
