Okay, here is the new chapter of the Weaver Option. As usual, no spoilers on the discussion threads until the betas have completed their work. Which promises to take a while, with this chapter being 43000 words long.

This is the tale of a battle fought in the lair of the Drukhari slavers.

This is the story of continual Escalation.

There is only the screams of dying xenos and the shrieks of anger of evil gods.

This is Hell or Commorragh. 



Fair Warning: there are a lot of evil cliffhangers the further you approaches the end.

It’s so epic cliffhangers are painful to bear. Like, seriously, so much stuff is happening that I feel I MUST learn the results of! Argh!

That was awesome and unexpected indeed. In my opinion one of the coolest characters in the 40k universe though! Really looking forward to him meeting Taylor, and the reactions of the rest of the forces!

Custodes at the moment are officially forbidden by some stupid decree from leaving Terra in any significant numbers. If all of them are being called to war, people will probably assume they will be fighting on Terra/Palace, which hasnt happened since Horus Heresy, and is like a red flag to the imperials. Best guess on what may actually happen - they will be asked to briefly hold the Imperial Webway from the freakazoids.

Got to wonder how the Heresy era space marine and the primarch is going to react to someone who is a saint to a religion formed on the basis of the Lectitio Divinitatus, a book written by the traitor Lorgar. Maybe they recognize the emperors power in Taylor, but otherwise it is going to be akward. Don't know if the primarch disappeared early enough that he didn't see the Ecclesiarchy rise to power.

There are too many parts of this update to fully detail. So I'll stick with the one that made me want to laugh like a madman; The Angel's Bane deciding he needed to go in person to explain to the Prince of Excess how much he objects to His efforts to claim anything from Weaver, as he feels he's got prior claim. And the fact Slannesh frantically calls back several Legions tells me that He figures the discussion that's about to commence requires more backup is rather telling about His estimates on his chances to tell the Bloodthirster to go away without massive carnage He really, REALLY can't afford right now *Evil Grin*

You are evil, aspirationsubverting evil man... your only chance of redemption in the eyes of the Emperor would be to immediatly start working on 8.3 ;-) But still, Dorn? Wasn't he amongs the ones whose body was found and buried? Really want to know how he ended prisoner in Commorragh. So main defences are broken on the both sides, and Khorn with to join the festivities... So the Endbringer battle would be something like Taylor + some Necron badass vs Lilith vs Ka'Badha vs Fulgrim. With everybody fighting everybody around. It's sad, that Anubis left... but I imagine he will lead Custodes on the final stages of their massive counterattack on Terra. Thanks you again for the work, but you a EVIL! Repent!

Ironically, Dorn is certainly going to react better than Thiel in this regard. It was the beginning of M32 when he went missing, and the Ecclesiarchy was already a potent force by then. The Emperor-worshippers weren't as powerful as they are now, of course.

Dorn was allegedly torn apart on a chaos warship he boarded, but his death wasn't ever confirmed and he is one of the many primarchs the space marines are convinced will return. Exactly how he ended up on Commarragh I have no idea.

Well, there's nothing to say that Taylor ends up 'collecting' more of the Primarchs later. I mean she seems to make a habit of picking up any number of trinkets the Imperium has so carelessly lost the last few thousand years; what's a few more, right? *Grins*

Holy Hell what a Rush. I often try not to swear but geez that chapter deserves it. Now a few things about the chapter 1 not surprised about Fulgrim at all kind of figured he/it would get involved one way or another. 2 Not surprised by the Angels Bane getting involved as well kind of expecting it to be honest. 3 Im really excited to see the Custodes march to war the question now is what is there target I doubt there going to Pavia to help Weaver they don't have the time left. 4 Not too surprised about Rogal being Commorragh while you did say Khan wasn't in that hell pit you never said anything about another Primarch being there. And 5 poor taylor if the the imperial fists find out that Taylor was able to rescue their Primarch she will be swarmed by the imperial fists and their descendants in gratitud and with more Astartes as bodyguards. I worry now how the Fanatics sorry the Black Templars will react. I have a feeling that Taylor will never be able to get rid of them now porr girl. And Finally I can't wait for the confrontation between the Queen of Blades versus the Queen of the Swarm that promises to be epic.

Ah now I understand how you're so good at writing Dark Eldar characters and settings. To leave us hanging on the Rogal Dorn reveal? Truly masterful cruelty. Though if the Praetorian of Terra is actually rescued in this crusade, the Black Templars are going to be pissed that they missed this.

Hot damn was that a good chapter and now all I can think about is how the lords of terra are going to react when Taylor comes to the throne world with 1 or 2 Primarchs, mountains of priceless archeotech and a couple of demon heads on pikes. I mean all she is going to have to do to depose Vandire is point, say he tried to kill me and watch every body trip over themselves trying to get to him first.

While I'd enjoy that, I suspect we're not that fortunate. That said, when the scope of the carnage Weaver inflicted upon the Enemy come to light, there's going to be a lot of people understanding that directly targeting Weaver is going to end up known as suicide by anyone with any sense. Vandire is going to find any efforts directly affecting Weaver is going to be harder to paint in a good light, which means she's going to get breathing room. And while some might be tempted by the Administrative Master's rewards, when the vidcasts of exactly how dangerous Weaver is in direct combat get into the hands of those 'in the know', only the most insane and arrogant opponents are going to seriously consider fighting Weaver on any number of levels.

I new that it was not going to be Khan that killed the scum, but for it to be Rogal Dorn yikes. Did the clowns just fix the web way gate in Terra? Cause that is the only reason I can think that would allow the Big E to unleash his guards. Love Angles bane arrival and willingness to let someone else take Weavers head. I got one question is it going to 8.5 or 8.6? Cause I got a hunch that 8.4 not going to be able to finish this amazing work of art and please don't let the thief know or he will steal it.

I am prety sure it is undivided but remmember forces attacking it are weakest ever >> tzeench is in full rout, Slanesh is failing to save his enternal bufee/ powerup, Khorne is more than likely intrested in sloughter at commoragh than stealmate at rift beneath imperial palace, nurgle is only one rly aplaying presure and even then some of his atention is away since tzeenchs cock up mesed up some of his plans/cocutions...

Sorry to break your hopes, but nope. Xerxes Vandire is now a High Lord of the High Twelve, and he is heavily protected. Plus it's more like people wonder why this strange bell is ringing for an hour before stopping. A few persons will make the connection. But most people won't and will continue their evenings (and the rest of the week) as usual.

I just realized you foreshadowed the primarch in Chapter 1.6 when the Tarot was being played. Did u really have it in mind at that time or did it develop organically as the story progressed and the mention in 1.6 was just...a coincidence?

Since with Dorn back and Guilliman still in stasis, is there anyway for him to yeet the Codex Astartes and bring back the Legions? Cause by the time the Tyranids get there, if you don't have legion strength Astartes then you're kinda screwed. Plus having a legion always at Cadia would be a great idea.

In theory, yes, Dorn is a Primarch so he could reverse Guilliman's reforms. The problem is that when it comes the Codex Astartes, it's very popular in every political powerbase to have the Space Marines not in Legion numbers. Less risk they come calling to tell you you're doing a bad job...
