Well, two weeks and a lot of brainpower expended, and the work on the chapter at last is over. I've sent the file to the beta an hour ago and I'm going to do a few things which do not include writing tomorrow and the day after. Because after writing 28 000 words in one go, you need to do something else before Tzeentch tries to convert you...

The title I chose for this part is Forging the Future, Muster 6-1.

And for those who want some action, don't worry, there is going to be a lot of it in Muster 6-2...

God damn that is one beast of a chapter. I particularly like the Leet part of the chapter - hilarious.

Well, if you keep it up I can't see how this Arc could be called small. I certainly don't complain, but I feel this one could be easly cut in two chapters. Immediatly I have two things to say: Dragon's plans about remodelling Cataphract wouldn't it be considered technoherezy? Because they seems to plan tell the world about it, at least after Pavia. And second about Munitorum - didn't Taylor negociate some conceesions from them in exchange of Templates? Either way, with a friendly Lord Inquisitor, around Taylor is not without ammunition. Still, I would like to know the tithe of over 100 Millions men in arms, how ofter is it be payed? Every year? Even for Imperium it seems excessif.

Antony444

In certain circles, it would be indeed called 'proscribed innovation'...afterwards it depends the interlocutor you have. Concerning the Munitorum, it's a very big organisation and those she negotiated with aren't the same one giving the orders now. And no, there won't a tithe like this every year. Once a decade is already a lot, and doing it like the Munitorum did is already enough to raise a lot of eyebrows....

Really enjoyed the knew chapter im just happy that Leet has finally been put on a leash. I can also see in the future a lot of unhappy Munitorum personnel as a lord inquisitor comes on by for a little "Chat".

Mackenzie Buckle

another great chapter, with the trouble Weaver is getting from the Departmento Munitorum, I can almost see an era of three Imperium's taking the place of the reign of blood

Shadowsmage

Conscript Platoons in Imperial Guard that consist of normal Imperial citizens with little or no military training,

Shadowsmage

Happy to see the update, brilliant as always. Leet needed a minder, frankly they were too soft on him. I forsee the Departmento Munitoru is going to be having a bad day soon enough, making enemies of Taylor is bad for your heath

I just realized that in cannon Fabius Bile traded a clone of Fulgrim for geneseed. Can that still occur when Taylor and the Inquisition and the Astates will do everything they can to take all of it?

Antony444

Thanks, yeah the lowly Mechanicus personnel have provided the 'solution'. As for the Munitorum, yes some heads are going to roll.

Antony444

It's sure that if they continue that way, the Munitorum is soon going to realise their biggest problem isn't the secessionists of Nova-Terra

Antony444

You're welcome. Yes, the bureaucrats are going to have problems of their own...but the ones they just created will give a lot of headaches to Taylor and her administration.

Antony444

Since Taylor is on the market and for the moment Fabius Bile doesn't even know what a Necron looks like, the chances of him exchanging anything for geneseed very much depends on Taylor not acquiring it. And yes, the Queen of Escalation will do everything in their power to take everything. Leaving geneseed in the hands of a xenos is practically a guarantee that in a few centuries, the Traitor Legions explode in numbers and dangerosity.

Excellent chapter as usual. I am wondering though; how much time Taylor has to train and equip the soldiers demanded by the Munitorum? Taylor isn’t going to want to send out soldiers who or underprepared or under-equipped, but I she might not have the time to do that depending on the Munitorum demands. Taylor is also going to need to strike back at whoever is responsible for this, just so they can't further weaken Nyx by demanding another full tithe in the near future (also to set an example for anyone else in the Munitorum who has an agenda against her or her sector). Her new command staff better make themselves useful as well, otherwise I foresee them suffering from sudden and extremely lethal medical conditions... at least the first few idiots who stupidly get her soldiers killed. Although, maybe she’ll get some useful subordinates along with the bad… or is that too optimistic?

Antony444

A couple of years, minimum. Asking for more sooner would be tantamount to admit that whatever the Munitorum wants, the news on a threatre somewhere are so catastrophic they have no choice but to conscript millions and pray for the best.

Antony444

As for the Generals, staff and superior officers, well it is virtually guaranteed to have some battles. On the other hand, everything the bureaucrats have are the records and maybe if they bother to check, second-hand witnesses. So yes, you can have everything...but better to prepare some contingencies.

28,000 in one go? You're a beast man!
