Lol just finished watching. So peep game. Kubo had Originally written Byakuya off as dead right but back when this was all new he supposedly started getting death threats by a bunch of people for killing him off so he changed it up and kept him alive. Idk how true this is but it's been a long standing rumor. I'm with you tho, byakuya should of died which would of lead to amazing character development for Rukia too. 2. Yes isshin is related to Ganju and Kukaku. They were once actually 1 of the Royal Clans. The men in the clan are particularly known for their long ass side burns lol. 3. I get what you mean by Soi Fon acting normal in that one scene but I side more with what homie said. " Our job is to protect the Soul Palace, your job is to protect the Seretei". Final rant - lol, congrats on the job my guy. If you don't mind sharing, its cool if you don't want to but what kind of work do you do? I can't wait for the day you can make all of this your full time job and not have to work a 9-5 anymore. God willing 🙏🏽. Thanks for another great reaction video!

Grats on the job!! let's fucking goooo.... ok so there's a story going around that Byakuya was supposed to die originally. But Kubo got so much hate mail and threats and he had to change it. I'm not exactly sure how true that is but that's the story.

man this ep was fire and your reaction was great, a few things i wanted to talk about. 1. The hot spring that ichigo and yoruichi used in SS, urahara created that hot spring, BUT that was urahara trying to replicated TENJIRO's hotspring (the guy from squad 0) 2. Yes that indeed was Ishin and no they were not his kids, but his nephews, That is why Kaien looked so similar to ichigo, it is bc ishin is their uncle and his brother is their father, and if you really wanna go there, remember SS arc when ichigo comes flying next to rukia and is about to fight byakuya but ikitake interferes, ukitake says "he is not related to" and byakuya says " his is not" " at least not to the one you are referring to" he was saying how he looked like kaien, go check it out yourself it is ep 41 at 17:30, there is also one with rukia from ep 17 at 10:15 3. And in regards to the aging in this show is quite simple when you understand it, the more spiritual pressure or the stronger your spiritual pressure is, the slower they age, so if you are as strong as a captain, you can easily live for over 1000 years, while regular souls even if very little, their spiritual pressure will increase their life span, that is why that kid that was talking to chad said that they dont age, they do but he was there for only 20 years so it was not enough to see a difference

Some dialogue was cut from the anime regarding broken bankai's. On top of broken Bankai's being unfixable, Mayuri tells Ichigo that both Renji and Ikkaku's bankai's, which were broken in their battles against Byakuya and Edrad in the past are STILL broken to this day. Renji's Zabimaru is missing joints and although the R&D department "patched" Ikkaku's Hozukimaru together, it's basically jsut for show (like they're taping the pieces together) and both are DRASTICALLY weaker than they once were. The only exception to this rule is Komamura's Kokujo Tengen Myooh, which heals as he does because the two are linked.

With Byakuya being alive, Kubo originally wanted to kill off Byakuya there but when he released the chapter he started getting death threats and constant harassment about it so he was forced to retcon it so that Byakuya survived Also with aging, yeah a human soul remains the same age in soul society as they were when they died, but wholly spiritual beings like soul reapers age what seems to be roughly 15 - 20 times slower than a human, Rukia is over 100 years old but looks the same age as a high schooler, Toshiro is close to 80 but looks like a young teenager(13 or 14), and Sasakibe who looked to be in his early 20s 1,000 years ago in present day looks to be in his 60s whereas Yamamoto seemed to look in his 40's 1,000 years ago and now looks to be in his late 90's/early 100's A couple things throw this off, like Unohana looking the same as she did 1,000 years ago, or Squad Zero, who I can't go into detail about but at least 3 of them are wayyyy older than Yamamoto, yeah aging is confusing in Bleach lmaoo

Squad Zero exists to protect the soul king. I can't tell you what I really want to tell you just yet, but the anime gave them the biggest glow up. As far as Byakuya, a lot of people feel that would have been the pinnacle of his character development. I do agree with that sentiment, but I'm biased. He's my favorite character and I'm glad he's still alive. I couldn't take him and Yama dying lol.

One more thing, Isshin Kurosaki was Isshin Shiba when he was the Squad 10 captain. That's not a spoiler, that's just a confirmation. Kukaku and Ganju aren't his children but they are his relatives. So are you going to record those push-ups or....? Lol

You're not alone in being torn about Byakuya dying. When the chapters were serializing, Byakuya was all but confirmed to be dead. There's a scene not included in the anime where Haschwalth (the blonde Quincy with Yhwach) even states "Kuchiki Byakuya has just died." However, Kubo received A LOT of hate mail, including some pretty severe death threats after Byakuya "died", which is why a lot of people speculate that Kubo only brought him back because of the pressure. I for one would have liked Byakuya to stay dead, not only for the reasons you mentioned, but also because it would have REALLY driven home how brutal the conflict with the Wandenreich was going to be. Everything we've seen from Uryu up until now has been the bargain brand, knock-off, "we've got it at home" way Quincy's actually fight. They've had 1000 years to plan after the genocide, you'd better believe they're mad and coming for revenge.

Kubo originally played around with the thought of killing Byakuya off but quickly decided not to thanks to his editors. Also the fans didnt force him to bring him back but they definitely made a fuss on twitter. But it was long been decided he was gonna survive, Kubo simply didnt give an update a few months later. In the manga, Byakuya was feared to be dead before the Yamamoto fight even happened, and that fight lasted a whole month in real time. Plus Ichigo vs Yhwach shenanigans, it wasnt until a couple months later that we were told Byakuya survived

Soifon was definitely out of line. She is a literal assassin who kills for a living and is currently serving in as a high ranking military officer; show some type of military bearing like your fellow officers. She had no right to yell at a soldier simply doing his job reporting a good update btw that 2 of her colleagues survived. But she was too in her feelings to act mature, as u saw no one else was bitching at subordinates. Then when she was called out about it, she dares to say that Kensei and the other Vizard captains never forgave Yamamoto and therefore probably wasnt too sad about him dying. So she again making herself look like a fool by making shit up and lashing out for no reason. In fact, those Vizards have known Yama longer than she has but she thinks just cuz they not outwardly crying like she is they dont care? And once more Soifon was wrong again and properly put in her place when she started yelling at Squad Zero, aka her superiors. She bitches that they showed up in the aftermath and didnt help but fails to realize thats not their job, they are literally in a different dimension protecting the God of the universe, the Soul King. Sorry they thought yall were capable and competent enough to handle business, something that the OG Gotei 13 did effortlessly lol. Like Kirinji said, the 13 Court Guard Squads exists solely to protect the Seireitei (its literally in the name) while Squad Zero is always supposed to stay in Royal Palace unless given orders by the Soul King, which they were to retrieve Ichigo.

The first major thing in tybw to piss me off so much. The byakuya controversy. I don't know if you remember the poem before episode 7 but it was the Byakuya one. Imo it is the most beautiful poem so far and with the context of the last episode with Yama it hits so ridiculously hard. Byakuya getting killed is the perfect portrayal of this war and emphasizing how no one's safe. His scene with Ichigo was magic and imo got absolutely ruined with him being actually ok

Soul Reapers are very durable we learn that at the start.So why do some people think that a captain cant survive agaisnt his bankai but it makes sense for them for hiyori a lieutenant to survive being cut in half,matsumoto got a chunk ripped out of her and got up on her own and started walking,Lets not talk about how Momo is alive.Some people are very biased towards their favourite characters and they would never say they should have died.If a character survived it means kubo is cooking.LET HIM COOK

Congrats on the job man. Aging is weird in Bleach. I think it may be logarithmic. So age fast, then slower once you get older and older.
