Hey Patrons!

I've had quite a dilemma spring up on me over the past month that I'd like some input on.

Let me first show my planned roadmap:

== (tentative) ROADMAP ==

Summer - Summer costume update

Fall - Bonus chapter update

Late Fall - Retail Edition (with a couple of bonus scenes/features posted on itch/steam(?))

=========

Zombie's Retreat was the first game I had planned to do a retail release for on itch and hopefully Steam if I can get the in's & out's working.

The retail edition was going to include some exclusive things.  Think of it as a polished version that adds a few features I haven't/couldn't do with the progressive releases that I do now.

The plan was to sell Zombie's Retreat for, likely, $5.  BUT I was going to do a limited time period where $3+ ZR Patrons get the retail edition until ZR2 really starts up and replaces the ZR1 content on Patreon.

However, the one thing that doesn't quite sit right with me is that people who have previously supported on itch/Patreon would have to support again to get that retail edition.

Ex: Let's say a player really enjoyed playing a ZR update last summer and did a one time pledge of $10 to help support in 2019.  I have no way of tracking this so for the retail edition, they'd have to still pay $5 again.

This kind of has me second guessing doing a retail release but I feel like it's also not quite fair to not feel 'allowed' to publish ZR with a price tag when it's all said and done.

I don't know... it's tricky.  Let me know your thoughts.

I think the $ 5 for the patreons is a reasonable thing, it would even contribute a little more if you give the option. I have been reading the comments of the other tables and my approach based on what they comment would be the following ... Taking into account: 1.- There are people who have been supporting a long time but with a low contribution or $ 5 and another with a shorter contribution time but more $ 5 + money. 2.- We support the project so that you could show your game and your vision of it. I would separate development costs and final product cost. 3.- If we can get a discount like this one ($ 5) and opt for the Full game it would be rewarding for both parties. 4.- If you want to give this possibility based on a total and not monthly contribution amount, it would be ideal if you choose this path (a minimum contribution amount of the entire project to get it for $ 5). Sending screenshots to check it would be a little late but not impossible, just give an email. Conclusion: What you decide will be the right thing, it's not like the game is going to come out at $ 60 and suddenly start hating you and no longer supporting ZR2 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).

My opinion on this is that releasing it at retail value w/ the bonus scenes and features and for those that supported you longer and or with a higher contribution could get it at cheaper or free. I feel like the retail value could range $5 at the least to about $10 at the very most. For those that didn't sign up for your patreon can pay an additional $5 to get the bonus content. I believer that this is your hard work and effort and idea. You should be rewarded for you effort. I will also love to see ZR2. In the end this is your project and your decision. I will respect what ever you may choose to do with your game. Also.....could you add in as a bonus content to make it possible to impregnate all of the female characters? I know what I'm asking for is a lot and also so short on notice, for that I'm sorry.
