So Canvas finally got around to learning Foundry and preparing the files.

All Red Hand of Doom Maps (excluding Marauder Attack and Save the Walls) now have a Prepared Foundry File in the Map Adventurer tier!

I am not a Foundry expert and look forward to improving these prepared files in future maps. Constructive feedback is appreciated :)

This guide will be updated with future Foundry access opportunities such as Moulinette, but for now, it only includes downloading and importing the .json file.

Adventure Bundler and JSON Files

Step 1: Get the Files

  • First and foremost, you need the prepared Foundry Files!

  • The prepared Foundry Files are available to members of Map Adventurer tier

  • Checkout the Map Details Sheet to hunt for your next map

Step 2: Start your World

  • The DM/GM running the game needs to create the world in Foundry

  • You will need the Add on Module, Adventure Bundler, to import the files. It's free and easy to add on.

  • Once you have entered your world as the Gamemaster make sure the Adventure Bundler is activated.

Step 3: Import the Files

  • Under the compendium tab on the top right you can make the Compendium Pack that you want.

  • This is where all of the relevant files will be stored for your session or campaign

  • Once you create one, I named mine 'My Adventures' you can see the tab for that compendium pop up

  • Now you can import the zipped files! Note that the .JSON files must be one level within the selected zipped folder. If the .JSON file is nested within several folder layers then the files may not be found and will not import.

  • Now that we have selected the correct zipped folder, a tab showing what's inside will pop up. In this example we have 6 scenes and 1 playlist.

  • Click 'Import Adventure' and you should now see the Scenes in your Scene tab.

  • You can find the included ambient music in the 'Playlist' tab

Step 4: Test it

  • Drop in a test NPC with the desired vision settings

  • Note: While testing, if I used my WASD keys for moving, the NPC seemed to act as intended, but if I clicked to move around the screen, then the NPC would move through walls.. Oops

  • Edit and fix the walls, lights, etc. to your preference

  • Finally, enjoy good times with friends and Happy Adventuring!
