WOOPS I AM LATE TO UPDATE

I was really hoping to make a more sensical update than the last one and I just straight ass didn't show up smh

Last week was actually kinda full of weird stuff for me. I started off on Sunday by drawing a bunch of Dune characters live in stream ^o^ That was legit super fun, and kinda nostalgic for me since I haven't actually streamed the sketching phase in a really long time.

I'm kinda jazzed at how they came out. I'm proud of myself for getting better at drawing old people and more body types. I think I like my design for Dr Yueh the best! I'm kinda hoping to make this a habit and to be able to sketch out the characters again when i finish the second book but we'll see if I have time for all that x'D

My week has been filled with small, weird adventures. I got a delivery of $15 worth of fake ivy garlands [ I know, an indulgent purchase, but fake plants genuinely bring me a lot of joy x'D ] and I put them up on the weird ledge in my bedroom

My phone sucks at low light conditions but you get the idea lmao x'D

Then, I accidentally broke my favourite mug ;-; My Jason face mug with the machete handle. I was just picking it up with wet hands in my sink and it slipped and hit the sink hard enough. It was a real bummer, but upon exploring the last bits of Halloween junk at the grocery store, I found a new mug that suits me well for 5 bucks!

A lovely skull in my favourite color!!! I suppose fate was simply telling me not to get too attached to little things, and to instead keep an open mind for joy in the future.

Then, things took a turn for the weird and I got a super long HAND WRITTEN letter in my mailbox which basically boiled down to 'I noticed you're quite the heathen! Have you tried religion?'

I mean, it seemed polite enough and all, but it just struck me as SUPER WEIRD to bother hand writing multiple paragraphs to someone you don't even know. But I guess we're all getting a little squirrelly from being cooped up and having our eyelids glued open to watch the Terror News™ all the time.

So anyway, that takes me to Saturday, which was also weird but filled with good luck.

My parents invited me to come with them for breakfast and a trip to Ikea, which is very lucky in and of itself, since I love the swedish furniture store and free breakfast can't be beat tbh [ I had french toast.... ;0; ]

I'd like to say I was a good adult and didn't buy any more fake plants. I'd love to say that.

Anyway,

After all that I had an appointment with the ol' blood people to get juiced again. I was worried because in all my ikea excitement, I forgot to drink anything and get hydrated.

I walked in with my mask, and they stopped me and said my mask isn't up to code! The little fake valves were a problem. But before I could panic, they handed me a bitchin' red cloth mask! They said it's free for donators! So I basically just got rewarded for being unprepared LMAO but I aint' complaining!

And luckier still, they managed to squeeze my blood out just fine even without the hydration, so I'm really glad for that! I'll be more careful to drink water next time anyway though x'D

And Today my plan is to hopefully decorate my parents' yard for Halloween. It's like -13C though so I'm hoping it warms up first x'D I decorate their yard every year because I've never had a yard [ being a millennial and all lmao ] and I really enjoy doing it ^o^ I'm not so sure there will be any trick or treaters this year, but I think it's worth it still to decorate. People can still enjoy the yard as they walk or drive by ^o^

And I think that's about all that's going on in my life! I'm gonna try and crack open my game next week and see if I can't sniff around and do some cheeky dialogue or graphical updates off the clock. Mason's backgrounds mostly need some fine-tuning and I think I can handle that next week mixed in with my usual faffing off

EDIT: I literally completely forgot that I had a yard for several years when I rented the top half of a house when I was married LMAO but that house was in the sketchy skanky part of the city so I couldn't really decorate there either WHEEZE
