Hello everyone! It has been a wild week!

Last week, I gathered my alpha testers, created a testing document space and also organized a discord server for testing.

I had hoped to get started on some backgrounds, but I underestimated just how much work that organizing everything for testing and all the people would be ^^; I'm doing a lot of new things that I've never done before, but I think it's going pretty smoothly!

Once I managed to get things set up, my testers got straight to work. They quickly found a mountain of spelling errors and bugs! This is a VERY GOOD thing! I think this game will come out more functional and tighter than I ever could have hoped!

After four days of organization and everyone getting to know each other, I had enough work on my plate to do my first bug-squashing day on Friday. I'm thinking that from now on, I'm going to try and do artwork from mon-thurs, and then bug fixes on Friday. This probably won't last much more than a few weeks since [ hopefully ] we'll start running out of bugs.

Here's a condensed list of some of the things that got fixed on Friday!

  • An enormous amount of spelling and grammar mistakes
  • Several endings/events in Mason's path no longer allow you to access inventory during them
  • The player can no longer catch an infinite amount of fish
  • The player can no longer catch fish in the dark of night
  • Several continuity errors have been fixed regarding dying indoors
  • You can put bones away
  • A set fire won't follow you through certain events
  • The elevator noise won't startle you when you're already in the elevator in celia's path
  • The player can no longer get infinite soda by drinking a previous soda
  • Massive bugs in Derek's path will no longer cause game loops
  • A dead antagonist in Derek's path will no longer appear and kill the player anyway
  • Four more warnings added to in-game warnings list
  • The auction has been revamped to be more engaging and fun: new variables added to give the player an option at the end that will result in the bidder who likes them most to win the auction. A new questions added, and some bids/dialogue changed to better reflect bidder personalities.

And that's about it! I won't lie, my brain is still a bit fried from burning the candle so hard on Friday X'D So I'm gonna cut this one short and get the credits update from last month done!

Thank you so much everyone for your support! It is a pleasure working for you! <3
