Saturday Update! (Patreon)

Hi everyone! This will be the last 'official Saturday update' for a little while since I'll be taking December off. I'm going to try and get some more work done anyway, but I won't be home enough to declare it a 'Hunt Month'.

Over the last week I've been chewing away at the editing for Derek's path. I am becoming acutely aware that I may have 'overdone it' for Derek's path in general as I'm going over the content again X'D

I've technically only covered 4 endings so far [ out of.... 21... ] But I've added 22 CG placeholders. This is mostly because I've been covering long, complicated encounters that happen at the beginning of the route. I edited two main encounters with Derek which can be non-lethal if you make certain choices. Derek also has a bizarrely high amount of sexual content if the option is enabled.

Oh, and I fixed a major game-breaking bug =_=;;; The game stalled out on a black screen right on startup and I hadn't realized for a long time because I was loading saves. It turned out that some code I added back in Celia's path was breaking the screen where you enter your name at the beginning. That unfortunately took a couple hours to figure out and fix ;-;

I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little worried about how dense the content is for Derek's path. It's certainly daunting and I've been fighting some stress and worry over it. 

However, I'm going to continue as I'm going for now, and then when we start the closed alpha testing, I can ask my alpha testers how they feel about the amount of content and if it will be worth the longer wait for me to complete all that art in the future- or if the CGs need to be pared down.

If you'd like to be an alpha tester in the future [ I'm hoping to get 9 people ], and you'd like me to contact you when I start looking for people, you can just leave a comment on this post and I'll know to ask you first when the time comes! The main requirements are going to be that people sign a non-disclosure agreement [ a promise not to talk to about the game online or spread files ], send me a pic of ID [ I really REALLY can't have minors sneaking in and actually working on the game ], and be okay with testing the sexual content.
