BONUS Anime Comic: Neo-Tokyo - page 2 (Patreon)

Eh, screw it.  Not only are all the pages inked and scanned at this point, but I got this one done last night, and as I write this, the THIRD comic more than halfway done.  I'll just charge ahead and post these as I finish them and hopefully get it all up by the end of the week.  It's amazing what a change of pace can do for productivity, huh?

Or maybe I'm just excitable because MAN I forgot what a beautiful piece of animation Neo-Tokyo is.  Bubble economy-era anime really was from a different universe from the bargain basement crap the industry farts out today.  And yes, that IS the entirety of the plot, especially as far as the bookend sequences go: weird stuff happens and it looks absolutely amazing.  The other two do have SOME semblance of story, but "Labyrinth Labyrinthos" really does operate on music video levels of narrative coherence.  There's a reason I'm not even trying to actually draw anything from the short itself, I'd never be able to do it justice.

And yes, I'm still drawing director Rintaro as the guy from Steins;Gate.
