It's probably the result of those years I spent living in Washington DC, but every time I see "group of people protesting" I automatically add "...something really, really stupid" in my head.  It's mean and unfair, but it's also something I'll always do.

Speaking of which, I'd really love to just stand around behind some legit protesters with a sign that says "Filler Text".

...but what on earth is any of that doing in a story happening on a movie set?  Gosh, I wonder...
