Conventional Wisdom: AWA 2017 - page 3 (Patreon)

So, yeah, in case you haven't noticed, Cindy from Final Fantasy XV is one of THE female cosplays to do at the moment.  I had the weird fortune to wander into the hotel lobby right as a FFXV photoshoot was gathering, and it was genuinely unnerving to keep seeing the EXACT SAME COSTUME walk by again and again and AGAIN without realizing what was going on.  I mean, it's not as if I've never seen a lot of a popular cosplay before, but something about this was especially creepy.  Maybe it's because there aren't really any variations on Cindy's design (that I've seen, anyway) or because most of these cosplayers are buying those jackets instead of making them means they look all the more identical, but it was SERIOUSLY disorienting.  And it really was a lot of 'em, too.  There was at LEAST two dozen Cindys just for this one photoshoot, and at least double that wandering the halls afterwards.  This was THE con for yellow bomber jackets.
