This is always a bit of a paradox for me at cons.  On the one hand, I wanna get down to the con floor and put out flyers early, before the rest of the rabble has a chance to clog up the halls.  But on the other hand, heading down TOO early means the hotel staff is still cleaning up, and laying out flyers while those trashcans are still being wheeled around pretty much guarantees that any flyers will end up thrown away within 30 minutes of being put down.  So I gotta wait a LITTLE bit, but not TOO much, and occasionally end up creppily stalking the cleaning crews in order to tell EXACTLY when they'll be done.  At least, that's how it is at the start of the con.  By the end of everything, the hotel staff is usually too busy worrying about the horrific drunken puke explosions from the night before to bother picking scraps of paper off the tables.  Seriously, if I had these people's job, I'd wish I was dead too.

And I was up early a LOT this con.  Somehow, this was the first AWA EVER that I was able to score a room in the actual con hotel itself.  When you just have to walk downstairs instead of trekking across several blocks, being an early riser is a LOT easier.
