Hey everyone!

I'm working hard on The World Is Not Ending and some other projects, and I wanted to have some new content out this month, and also people keep asking me about my experiences getting surgery in Armenia. To kill two birds with one stone, I've cut together a little video about my experience so people can learn about the experience and hear my thoughts on it.

Enjoy!

2023-04-29 22:10:36 Congrats, Sophie! I had bottom surgery in Thailand in 2006, and hearing your story really brought me back. I went there alone, so they gave me a nurse who literally slept on the couch in my room and would wake to get whatever I needed. Despite having medical training and speaking pretty good English, she was paid the equivalent of $300 per month. She sent most of that money to support her mom & kid who lived in the rural provinces. It really got me thinking because I'd come to Thailand because surgery was much cheaper ($5500 at the time for one of the most experienced surgeons in the country). But one of the reasons it was cheaper is because women like her were being exploited. I was still educating myself on a lot of things, so all I could think to do was give my nurse a $300 tip.

I've known I wanted FFS for years now, but this video really put all of my doubts to rest. The light and joy in your eyes when you talked about seeing yourself in the mirror is just so beautiful
