Two travelers share a moment of respite at the Darkroot forest bonfire. As Lordran decays and descends into an everlasting dark, one can't deny the quiet beauty of it all. Perhaps at the end of all things, there is serenity in the dark?

The forest is at peace, it's spirits tranquil, and while the fire of the old world fades a new form of life and undeath calls the woods it's home now.  

Alvina, the immortal and ever-watchful guardian of these woods watches and judges these two in silence. Should they transgress and disturb the peace of her forest... they will find their journey challenged by all manner of vengeful spirits from eons past.
